Sophie finally having consecutive weeks at #2! What an annoyance that she's had 2 separate chart runs with multiple weeks as runner up though :drama:

 

I had spotted this Hazbin Hotel thing making some waves on US Spotify but oh my at it landing 3 new entries at once here. Absolutely not a clue what to expect those to sound like x

 

It being a midweek release hopefully preventing any chance of 'Big Foot' being a top 40 hit x

This week also marks 40 years since Madonna’s first top 10 with Holiday, it couldn’t be any more perfect.

 

I can’t believe Popular finally got there are just falling short so many times! This second chart run feels miraculous :lol: A #11 peak twice would’ve been so frustrating as a Madonna fan.

 

It feels like Stick Season has been at #1 so much longer than 5 weeks

Continuing the conversation: everyone who was around the time KNOWS that Sophie has had a number 1 single. Yes, the historical records may dispute this, so younger generations aren’t aware, but it was such big news at the time as to be undeniable. Sophie was the face and voice of Groovejet. She was in all the news headlines at the time: Sophie v Victoria Beckham.
