I think we are definitely getting something before the album and I think it's sooner than we all think. I'm going to guess it's the Post Malone track, but I was toying between that one and the title track. I just think we're far enough away from the albums release for her to get a singles campaign going for it.

I don't think we'll get one. Taylor seems to have mastered the album release in the streaming era without any pre-release singles and she is probaby happy to keep it this way. With that being said, the right pre-release single could be huge!

Yeah, for this reason I can't quite see it either.

I can’t see it, part of her hype and release strategy now is that you don’t even know what sound you’re getting until the album drops. That’s what makes it more exciting and I think what helps draw in massive streaming debuts, people are interested to see if it will be poppier again or will it be back to Folklore vibes, or could it be something different entirely. Releasing a single takes that magic away so I almost don’t want anything in a way as much as I want to hear new music!

it has Post Malone as track 1 so I reckon it's not gonna be Folklore/Evermore

but Midnights 2

The Post Malone singles I’ve heard don’t really serve the vibe of Midnights to me, although that’s not to say him featuring on a Taylor track would be anything like his own work.

 

My gut feeling is that we’re not getting repeats of folklore/evermore or Midnights. Based on absolutely nothing. x

I was hesitant cos we haven’t had a lead single for a while but she announced the track list so soon I feel like she has to to build hype. Like for midnights she killed time with midnight mayhem with me and for 1989 the google puzzles. But she has over 2 months so I think she will do a single.
