Beyonce is dropping off a little but it's worth noting that 573k today is still a pretty huge figure, the only reason it seems relatively poor is that Stick Season is/was such a massive hit. This could just be the initial huge hype wearing off, she may still stabilise with good playlisting and get a few weeks at #1!

(having said that, I personally enjoy a faster turnover at the top and would be happy with something else taking over, preferably Djo out of the current contenders)

True but looking at trends globally and US she is dropping everywhere in sync which suggests the song peaked and will only drop further but time will tell

Why cant spotify HH also add all the top newies!!!
There’s a possibility Ariana will get #1 when her album is released, but I think Beyoncé is still looking like a strong #1 for the foreseeable. Her album also comes out on the 29th March so I suspect it will return to the top spot if she loses it. Think Texas is looking at around 5-7 non-consecutive weeks at #1 overall.

I can see Ariana's second single doing more of a God is a Woman/Training Season than a Break Up With Your Girlfriend. Of course there's no way of knowing but it's just a hunch.

I bet Beyonce's drop in the last few days is cos she had an autoplay deal that stopped

that's quite typical when a song suddenly drops midweek cos normally songs barely change during the week

iTunes? Interesting to see that this has stuck around on Amazon - and especially if it is now being added to more playlists on Apple, I wonder if it could spend more weeks in the chart.

Apple doesn’t seem to have updated all day! Does this happen often?

On Amazon (Prime - I can no longer see the Unlimited Chart), Olly Alexander is at 64 (up from 175 an hour ago). That’s pretty good going considering it is not easy to debut high on this chart. I see it is track 24 on their top playlist (Hits UK).

I’ve noticed people aren’t jumping to Beyoncé’s defence for declining slightly (while still being #1) compared to how they did when Dua and Ariana’s much more drastic declines were pointed out

None of them are anything to worry about tbf.

It's a different situation, because I haven't really seen anybody proclaim that Beyonce is flopping, whilst some people were saying that Dua and Ariana were flopping. I think if people were saying Beyonce was flopping people would come to her defence.

To be honest I've even seen some people saying on Twitter that Break My Soul was a flop, which is just insane to me. Like I don't know what people's standards are anymore.

Break My Soul was definitely huge, peaks can be deceiving in this day and age. I think I’ve mentioned this in the past, songs like It Girl didn’t even go top 40 but their cultural impact was still huge. Break My Soul felt unavoidable in the summer of its release.

Charli XCX has broken Apple.

Apple has updated.

Olly Alexander - #52

Pharrell & Miley - #152 (that’s shockingly bad I have to say)

I know people keep calling it a "Miley song" because this is BuzzJack but considering 'Doctor (Work It Out)' is being pushed as a Pharrell Williams lead I don't think it's surprising that it's not looking like an immediate big hit, Pharrell has been struggling in the chart for years now even with songs with big collaborators. Plus it is literally just a decade old unreleased song, unless your name is Taylor Swift that's always bound to be quite a hard sell. It's just like the will.i.am/Britney Spears song.

Hope Overmono are looking good to get their first top 40 hit! Fred again.. seems to have quite a habit of bringing his collaborators into the top 40 for the first time - The Blessed Madonna, Delilah Montagu (uncredited on most platforms but still), Flowdan, Obongjayar, Jozzy and Baby Keem before this as well.

There’s also new entries in from Liam Gallagher/John Squire at #141 and Headie One at #174.

In fairness, Pharrell/Miley has been added quite low to Apple’s main playlist in comparison to the new entries.
