Yet the English singer—who was born in a London suburb in 1979—found her true calling as a dance-pop diva when she contributed vocals to “Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love),” an ebullient house track by DJ Spiller that became a No. 1 single in the UK in 2000. Ellis-Bextor continued her momentum with 2001’s “Murder On the Dancefloor” and many more hits that showcased her irresistible blend of wit, effervescence, and vulnerability, along with her unabashed love of disco. Her penchant for old-school grandeur is just as strong on later releases like 2019’s The Song Diaries, a collection of newly recorded orchestral versions of her hits, including a take on “Groovejet” that’s worthy of a James Bond soundtrack. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2000 01 Groovejet (If This Ain't Love) (Spiller feat. Hoo-ooo-me…!” Zane Lowe rang in the release with rave reviews and the coveted World First spotlight slot in his January 17th Apple Music show – “Another massive thing happening out of London… Good Neighbors. You cannot go wrong with a whistle hook. I love that.” The band says “We wanted to write a song about the moment you hold a loved one after some time apart. It's such a small moment that has always sparked a visceral feeling for me. So we played with the idea of finding home within another human x” Good Neighbours is a band born out of small towns and spare time. Scott and Oli have neighbouring studios at their building in East London, and first began making music for the project together out of the desire to make something positive and unpolished in a scene where most music felt quite mellow and intimate. Over the course of 2023, they consistently began making music for the love of making music, and only midway through the year decided to create the band to release under. With an urge to rekindle the early 2000's scene of Passion Pit / MGMT etc, Good Neighbours nod to classic songwriting and raucous production, inspired by A24, friendship and a cinematic approach to music. - Boradway World Top 100 Chart History 2024 26 Home -1- 0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 0 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 1 x Top 100 Social Media Good Neighbours http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png

All it took was a line dance to set her on a path toward stardom. “Austin,” the first single from Dasha’s second album, “What Happens Now?,” is a delightfully catchy ode to a lover who just won’t commit. It’s also proven to be social media gold, catapulting to the top of Spotify’s U.S. Viral 50 chart thanks to a plethora of line-dancing reinterpretations. Though Dasha says “Austin” was always her album’s “north star,” it was recorded after she and co-writers Cheyenne Rose Arnspiger, Kenneth Travis Heidelman and Adam Wendler scrapped a different track, “Play Dumb,” which just didn’t fit her vibe. - HuffPost Top 100 Chart History 2024 25 Austin -1- 0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 0 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 1 x Top 100 Social Media Dasha http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png

And 21 Savage, rap’s ASMR wordsmith, uses the technique to intimidate and taunt, to threaten and destroy. Violence was quite literally Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph’s introduction to rap: He started after his best friend was killed (and he himself sustained gunshot wounds) in a shootout on Joseph’s 21st birthday. This is music born in the streets, desensitized to tragedy because any other coping mechanism would result in unending heartbreak. His breakthrough, 2016’s Savage Mode, produced entirely by Metro Boomin, showcases the rapper’s deadpan delivery and ambivalence toward the stories he tells. With the EP, 21 emerged as one of rap’s great stylists, with his flow and Metro’s minimal beats giving the album an almost ambient feel. When 21 took his signature sardonic style to its logical extreme on Metro Boomin’s “Don’t Come Out the House,” he betrayed a playful willingness to engage with our image of him. With 2018’s I Am > I Was, though, 21 proved he was more than a single, captivating style. The album boasts a diversity of ideas, homing in on post-trap and club anthems and heightening the impact of his signature snarl, which grows in menace as it’s used less frequently. He used to shroud his apathy entirely in hushed sneers, but now, when 21 Savage lulls us with a whisper, the quiet is deafening. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2016 52 Sneakin' (Drake feat. 21 Savage) 2017 41 Bank Account -1- 2017 01 rockstar (Post Malone feat. 21 Savage) MILLIONAIRE 2017 60 Ghostface Killers (21 Savage, Offset & Metro Boomin feat. Jersey suburbs, orthodox Muslim household, parents working their way through corporate America, wanted to fit in, couldn’t. She got bullied for wearing a hijab after 9/11 and became the kind of teenager who, on at least one occasion, drew the cops into a chase while joyriding in the family car. “[My parents] were only strict because they were reasonable,” she told Apple Music in 2017. “Like, they’re black, they come from the South and Midwest, they don’t come from anything…they’re not tryna take a gang of risks.” That Rowe had her own ideas about how to live didn’t help. “I rebelled really hard, and I learned everything the hard way,” she said. “I’m very hard-headed, very curious.” It’s a balance—rebellious but insecure, expressive but self-conscious, dreamy but alert—that has made Rowe resonant, but also an anomaly, the kind of artist who doesn’t ignore her quirks or contradictions, but brings them to the table in all their messy human glory. After self-releasing a couple of EPs in her early twenties (she took her name from the Nation of Islam’s Supreme Alphabet—Savior Zig-Zag Allah), she became the first female artist signed to Top Dawg Entertainment, joining future collaborators Kendrick Lamar and Jay Rock. Released in 2017, her debut album, Ctrl, put her at the vanguard of contemporary R&B, mixing the expressivity of classic soul with a hazy, synth-heavy atmosphere and a playful sense of lyricism that brought Rowe’s inner monologue out. “Even with the heels and tighter clothes and other things, I’m still just me,” she said. “I still have a lot of anxiety about the world, and my thoughts and what people think about my thoughts.” - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2016 88 Consideration (Rihanna feat.
