March 17, 20242 yr Wow cool go see this #1 now even if it’ll definitely only be midweek number 1. Hope it holds decently though! Maybe something a la Liam and John from a few weeks ago
March 17, 20242 yr Well, this is different :kink: I like it :D Love to see an Instrumental hit at #1 to be honest, its not going to hold anyway.
March 17, 20242 yr It's 9:49, any idea when a song this long last made the Top 40? Taylor Swift - All Too Well (Taylor's Version) was mostly the result of the 10 minute version (though not entirely), specifically 10:13 - first one that came to my mind!
March 17, 20242 yr I've just noticed that Local Hero appeared at #93 in the most recent Physical Singles Chart, so some must have been sent out early. Although presumably not a substantial amount. :P
March 17, 20242 yr “ The charity single – from which all proceeds go to Teenage Cancer Trust UK and Teen Cancer America – leads at the midweek mark with less than 1,000 chart units, so it will need all the support it can get to keep growing throughout the week.” given the missing data it’s probably 5-6 should just about stay in the top 40 hopefully
March 17, 20242 yr It's 9:49, any idea when a song this long last made the Top 40? Taylor Swift - all too well aas 10.13 in November 2021
March 17, 20242 yr I think it’s safe to say Ariana is out of the running this week which is disappointing. I did suspect as much thought as she has been trending downwards for a couple days now. Djo is also looking a bit weak right now compared to where he was a couple days ago. I have to say, I think this is going to be Benson v Beyoncé again for #1 and I reckon it’s Benson’s to lose. March 17, 20242 yr Are you obsessed with her or something? Dismissing her chances already after the first hurdle.. I’ve barely ever mentioned her? I’m actually an Ariana fan  I’m merely assessing the metrics. Edited March 17, 20242 yr by BlackNBlue
March 17, 20242 yr Are you obsessed with her or something? Dismissing her chances already after the first hurdle.. In fairness, I think the other guy has more claim to being obsessed with her.
March 17, 20242 yr Would it break the record for,the longest song to reach #1? Yep! The current holder is Oasis' 'All Around the World', which is 9:38.
March 17, 20242 yr I’ve barely ever mentioned her? I’m actually an Ariana fan  I’m merely assessing the metrics. Oh sorry, my mistake.
March 17, 20242 yr The last instrumental UK No 1 was Martin Garrix in November 2013 with Animals. Hero as Mark Knopfler is, this will not hang on to become the 31st UK instrumental No 1. The first was Mantovani with Moulin Rouge in 1953 and the second was Eddie Calvert's O Mein Papa in 1954, whose 9 weeks at the top is still the most for non-lyrical releases.
March 17, 20242 yr Make sure to block Teddy Swims on your Spotify etc so he can’t get any mistake streams or autoplay that guys close to going ACR if he declines this week
