Cruel Summer at 26 !!

I don’t think the JT result is that surprising really. Even his material from the 20/20 Part 1 album didn’t all manage to sell and both part 2 and Man of the Woods didn’t do well at all with very few hits between them. It’s over 10 years since Mirrors was his last number 1 - albeit that Trolls single was also a major hit.

 

Couple that with very little promotion and some fans disagreeing with how he’s handled some things and this doesn’t feel too unexpected a result so far.

 

 

EDIT - although now the sales are there, less than 4K really is very low

I hope Ariana and her team pull off some tricks to get that #1 somehow 😭 maybe next week though so they can do CDs or cassettes or whatever but idk how much they/she cares.

i do like the djo & ariana songs more, but id be very happy with benson at #1 this week!

Hope Benson can hold his #01 till friday. First time he's #01 in midweeks on monday.

His new single is already out this friday by the way !

I think some tricks would be needed for Ariana to clinch the singles #1 this week at this point - remixes, CDs, etc, because otherwise it's going to need a significant uplift when it's behind Beautiful Things on every major platform currently. I'd love to see Ariana at #1... but next week please, give Benson his moment xx

It’s just been announced that ‘we can’t be friends (wait for your love)’ has achieved #1 in the U.S. so not sure if more of a push will be coming :( cool that the album looks to potentially be a multi-week #1 here though!

He's over, after stampin on women to make his name. He was never particularly good; he made pop music , but acted likr hr eas so muvh better thsn others who did the same.

Ariana is obviously collapsing with her new single.

 

This, but GaGa went I think three whole eras without a #1, till ironically Ariana got her onr, so maybe Ariana can team ip eith somronr next era to get a no.1

Not surprised at JT. He hasn't had a significant hit from the album and Britney's book likely tarnished his image somewhat. Hopefully the album will fall out of the top 10 by the end of the week.

 

Happy to see Kacey at #2, fingers crossed she'll remain top 10. Ariana will have a second week at #1 it seems - her album is holding up very well in streaming!

 

Also looks like Ariana will have to settle for #2 in the singles chart - unless her team do a push to get it to #1 this week. Perhaps release some CDs or something. Although I don't think Ariana's team care much about the UK market as they do the US (where she is now confirmed to haave debuted at #1 and will likely spend multiple weeks at the top).

Hope Ariana gets the necessary boost to close that gap and spare us another crap #1 on the trot.
