Benson is 11th on Apple's New Music Daily playlist and absent from Today's Hits, so definitely not supported quite as well as on Spotify's NMF. The song's been teased on socials for a while, though Beautiful Things was obviously a unique case. Hopefully it's given him a leg up regardless, even making the Spotify top 200 is a boost from every single between In the Stars and Beautiful Things (he released six singles in that time!)
Stick season back to 1 on Spotify it has a stranglehold over the UK population

8. Olivia Rodrigo - Obsessed :o

Poor Tyla not going top 50 despite being top of NMF. Art is IT.

Anyone find it really strange how Stick Season has been such a massive hit in the UK but has never really took off in the US? It only peaked at 10 on the Hot 100. It’s a country/folky song that I thought would take a while to take off in the US but would eventually. It even mentions Vermont and is quite American. He is also American.

It also hasn’t been much of a hit at all in Europe. Only peaking top 10 in a few countries and only charted at 44 in Germany (not sure if it even charted in France). It’s not like it’s proper country and wouldn’t work in Europe. It’s only really been massive in UK/Ireland/Australia. This song reminds me a bit of Let Her Go in 2012 as it’s quite folksy but that song was massive in Europe and the US.

Benson has 150k over Ariana, also WW she lost 1.5M streams from last week in total while he did lose 200k. He’s holding amazing…
Wow, Hozier is at #2 in the US with ‘Too Sweet’! #18 here, so should be another top 40 for him.

Enjoying this on first listen. Maybe his biggest hit in 10 years. :o

All Olivia’s songs deserve better but she maybe missed a trick not released them as a new EP I’m not sure but quality wise they’re all very good. Future album has a lot of hype due to some high profile disses and it’s a solid album so I think it will stay doing decent numbers. Will have to hear Benson and Hozier again wasn’t moved on first listen. In terms of 1 maybe too early to say but in terms of Ariana vs beautiful things that contest is only going one way

I think she did alright numbers?

Big climbs for The Blessed Madonna - hopefully Happier can go top 40 this week.

Same with Green & Gold

Edit - just noticed massive climb for Wasted Youth too.

I'm sure they'll all drop down post friday/ satuday, hopefully hopefully all or some can make the top 40

It has been a big American hit, obviously it’s performed much better in the UK chart but it did make number one on US Spotify(albeit for only 2 days)

would’ve had a bigger US chart peak if Billboard didn’t include airplay I suspect

What's the reason for it not doing great on airplay over there then? It's one of the most radio-friendly songs I've heard for years!

i dont think its to do with the song, its just the us charts are heavily influenced by radio airplay hence why its not doing as well as it could! look at the kanye song, it was doing like 3milli on spotify, more than jack harlow, but wasn't #1 cos jack had lots of radio play whilst carnival didnt!

yeah, i think 378k is a strong opening for a post-album single!

in comparison, vampire which was the lead and her first single in almost 2 years did just under double that (748k), and bad idea right opened with 392k, so yeah id say thats a very solid opening for olivia!

i do hope so american can also make the top 40! stranger is my fave of the 5 new tracks, but i really like them all!
