3 UK TOP 40 HITS

BIGGEST HIT: BUT IT’S BETTER IF YOU DO (#23, 2006)

Panic!'s biggest hit as a band was ‘Nine in the Afternoon’ which got to #13.

Oh no! So sad to see no-one else voted for All About Eve. Martha’s Harbour is one of my all time favourite tracks - and they had many great songs across their first few albums. I didn’t vote at all last time, but AAE gained 29 points, so I assumed they’d still pick up points.

I nearly voted for them, I adore their first album and Martha's Harbour is one of my favourite songs of the 80s. I'll never forget when they were on TOTPs and couldn't hear the track so just sat there looking confused for the whole performance.

That was so awkward and I felt so sorry for them.

"They" were a "he" by that point so it doesn't count for this rundown sadly :D

They were still a four-piece at that point! 'Nine in the Afternoon' was 2008, Panic didn't become a solo act until the album 'Death of a Bachelor' in 2016.

Oh you're quote right- for some reason Polyhex lists it as "Panic" without the exclamation mark which i was putting it (the rest are listed with it) hence I missed it! Altered- thanks

Think I would have given a small handful of points to Faithless in my voting if I'd remembered them at the time oops
Completely forgot about Panic at the disco and Lady A, both of those should have been in my votes 🙈 funny how many you remember once the votes come in!
Libertines were very close to my points. Up the Bracket a formative album for me.
My favourites of The Libertines are 'Time For Heroes', 'What A Waster' and 'Can't Stand Me Now' - they're here as I charted 'Night Of The Hunter' last year.
Also surprised I didn't vote for Lady A. Hopefully they were in my shortlist at least, rather than forgetting them completely!

Legends! Judy, Mila, Yutin, Angel, Pronti and Kalmani: I was obsessed with Alice Deejay for a good 18 months, to the extent that I even did a presentation about them in high school

So for being a key part of my formative years, and the fact that I can still remember all of their names, I had to include them <3

Gosh Madness with only one vote :o

Surprised I was the sole voter for Pendulum, and I did forget Kodaline was eligible here! :o

Surprised Madness and Pendulum didn't pick up more votes. Both good bands. Alice Deejay also have some tunes and I only really like 'High Hopes' by Kodaline but have heard some others but don't remember them too much. Pogues the obvious song but perhaps one I should check a few more songs out.

From yesterdays also surprised Soft Cell only got one voter too. 'Nine In The Afternoon' is still rightfully Panic's highest peaker and I like several of Lady Antebellum but haven't delved much further with them either. Faithless have some good songs too.
