Two exceptional bands there that shaped the very sound of the '90s more than most.

Can't remember how anything by onerepublic goes though.

New Order are a really weird one for me.

I love Joy Division but just cannot get to feel anything much for New Order. Even the first album, which is broadly JD in style, doesn't excite me, and whilst I recognise and appreciate their importance and many great songs, pretty much everything they've done leaves me completely cold or I find slightly annoying and overrrated.

I've tried and tried, in fact I'm listening to my playlist of them right now, and I have many friends who've loved them for years but I just can't get in to them.

I love New Order, how many JD albums were there?

I didn't vote for them but nice climb for The Prodigy :D
a fair few of my votes starting to show up, Keane are childhood favourites for me, and while they definitely reached their limit, their first album is wonderful and was great seeing them at Glastonbury. CHVRCHES are one of the best modern synthpop groups that have proved very consistent over the years, and Massive Attack, Prodigy and Nirvana are obviously 90s essentials, all had some of my favourite listens when I did my album bucket list.

As chartjack2 has rightly said there are two JD albums - Unknown Pleasures (1979) and Closer (1980). I would add though that the compilation Substance is a worthy addition as none of their singles are on either album and you'd miss out on some of their best work by ignoring them

Oh some essentials out recently in Massive Attack, Nirvana and The Prodigy  I only got into Nirvana a few years ago so they were a huge new entry for me this time.

And “Still” is a fantastic collection of live performances and deep cuts too :)

Of all the acts I could have seen live but haven't/didn't, The Prodigy are the one I regret the most. Must have been incredible.

I’m going to take a listen to these soon, thanks!

One of my favourite gigs ever in my hometown which incidentally NEVER get gigs.

Three great bands there, even though I didn't vote for any of them!

Nirvana and The Prodigy are obviously essential 90s listening with so many iconic tracks.

I'm actually surprised OneRepublic have finished this high, didn't think they would really be on many people's radar. I particularly love their huge flop 'No Vacancy'

I went and saw them last year. It was the third time I'd seen them live but the first time without Keith - the previous times were back in the '90s. Obviously, the experience was very different to back the but they remain extremely good live. If you get the chance again, don't waste it. You should go.

I saw The Prodigy support Oasis at their legendary Knebworth gig. For a dance act, they were incredible live!

Corr blimey, a 24 place climb! I quite enjoyed early Corrs, 'The Right Time' being my favourite thing they've ever released, and 'Radio' a close second.
