An incredibly weak Pyramid Stage for me (I think I'd only see Keane & Coldplay if I were going), but good enough elsewhere but probably still weaker than other years on the whole.

Clashing Fontaines D.C. and IDLES is a bizarre decision though. Although there's rumours that IDLES were drafted in to replace SZA as the Other headliner that day (before Madonna supposedly pulled out), so perhaps that's why.

Catching up on the highlights shows from yesterday and liked what I saw from Dua, Fontaines, IDLES, Jamie xx, LCD Soundsystem, Sampha + Sugababes! Jamie bringing out Oliver and Romy has intensified my longing for a new The xx album even more :kink: 🥰
Those sites that make articles out of a couple twitter comments are lazy

Yes it's so annoying - it was the first thing I got linked to last night and was repeated across several sites... wow, a load of white men who only like "real" music making tweets to put a female pop artist down, what a surprise

I was so pleased this morning to see that loads of great reviews had appeared across various media outlets, she did really well with it.

Put Coldplay on and am glad that 'Arabesque' made the cut *.* an inspired choice in amongst all the big crowd pleasers (and debut of a new song) so far

Enjoying the Jessie Ware set

An amazing performer. Say You Love Me was stunning. The new Romy duet sounds awesome. Waiting for the Free Yourself finale!

Must admit I find Coldplay a little bit on the naff side these days with all their 'made for the stadiums' anthems that they knowingly produce now. And one of my favourite 'anthems' - Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall - hasn't been in the set at all. I'd have liked to have see some of the slightly mellower stuff too like Trouble, Don't Panic and In My Place, to show the more tender side that contributed to their early success.

I can't fault Chris Martin's energy and live vocal though, he sounds so close to the studio versions all the time. And they perform their big classics so well, and they are classics for a reason. I think A Sky Full Of Stars is the last single from them I truly loved myself mind.

It's been a while since I've seen Coldplay live, but this set is really making me want to see them again. Such brilliant performers and they can really work a crowd, Fix You performed with their hero, Michael J Fox, was such a touching moment

It is a pity so much of the setlist was their recent sellout songs, but I did really appreciate them doing Sparks from Parachutes to satisfy the different generations of fans.

Jessie Ware was great - I so wish I'd bought tickets to her tour as it clearly would have been ever more amazing in a smaller venue.

I went off Coldplay a long time ago. They do still have some songs I enjoy (Viva la Vida, Every Teardrop, Talk, The Scientist, Clocks etc) but it's been a long time since I've really enjoyed anything of theirs. It is impressive to see the size of the crowd watching them though, a shame that Jessie was up against them :(

Coldplay were great, nothing beats the crowds bands like this bring
Coldplay mashing up Something Just Like This (mid, though) with the Martin Garrix x Mesto collab song is not on my bingo book tho! :cheeseblock:

Absolutely shocking ETIAW wasn’t included! One of their more festival-appropriate hits surely!
