OMFG ADELITA WSS REET ALL ALONG!!!!

SHE HAD ZOMBIEBOY IF SHE WANTED A HALLOWEEN TRACK. IT SOJNDS LIKE THRILLER!! Its only mistake is doing the key change gothic tones at the END, instesd of having rhem as a niddle 8 and switching up the structure. That would have been a no.1

Garden of Eden sounds like a Bad Eomance 2025 and would have been no.1

Well, I hate to come here as the only post so far of not complete positivity but I’m a little disappointed :( I do like pretty much every song and I particularly like the run of How Bad Do U Want Me

This sold 219k in the US, and 74k of that were vinyls - her biggest vinyl sales week ever!

Garden of Eden SCREAMS like it needs a comedy music video. Has Gaga ever done a funny music video, I don’t think so.

John Wayne.

No but a proper comedic one, like Katy Perry’s Birthday vibe.

I feel like Garden of Eden could use a Birthday treatment.

Can we please take the time to appreciate the track order for this album? It feels like we’re passing through time as the album goes on, starting with somewhat present day with “Disease” and ending in the 70’s with “Die With A Smile”, which I think is GENIUS and makes the last track not feel like it was tacked on so the album included her biggest hit in years 😭

Chromatica felt like passing through space, Mayhem is an album that deals with time 🤯

SHE NEEDED TO RELEASE ZOMBIEBOY FIRST INSTEAD OF DISEASE FOR HALLOWEEN AND GARDEN OF EDEN SECOND!!!! I am GAGGED. utterly GAGGED

Oh this is a great analysis! I can see it.

I also order the tracklist order because through all of the MAYHEM it ends with love - Blade of Grass and Die With A Smile are really the perfect closing tracks. Die With A Smile makes so much sense in the album - the world is ending but at least we have love. ❤️

You can also make the connection that Chromatica is about escapism through imagination while Mayhem is about escapism through nostalgia if we’re going by the space/time comparisons

he’ll I’d imagine people felt on edge in the 70’s as well, with the Cold War and the threat of nuclear extinction looming above everyone’s heads. We had the Nixon Watergate nonsense and it felt like the valve was about to burst any moment. Then by the end of DWAS you open your eyes and see that nothing has changed, but at least the world is more connected through the internet so we have someone to wallow in our sorrows with.

Disease - 8/10

Abracadabra - 10/10

Garden Of Eden - 10/10 (really really great)

Perfect Celebrity - 8/10

Vanish Into You - 9/10

Killah - 8/10 (Prince meets Bowie)

Zombieboy - 10/10 (BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM, MAYBE HER BEST SONG EVER?!)

LoveDrug - 9/10

How Bad Do U Want Me - 8/10 (Taylor Swift, are you here?)

Don't Call Tonight - 7/10

Shadow Of A Man - 10/10 (amazing, MJ would be proud)

The Beast - 6/10

Blade Of Grass - 6/10

Die With A Smile - 10/10

8,5/10

Verdict: Absolutely good album, not perfect though (Happy Mistake deserved the spot of The Beast and Blade of Grass and would fit better on the album) but it's a solid pop album and her best body of work since TFM.

Next singles: Zombieboy, Graden Of Eden and Shadow Of A Man. She MUST release these songs. Doesn't matter the order, but these need to get their time in the sun at some point in the era.

Ranking after a few listens;

Disease - 8/10

Abracadabra - 10/10

Garden of Eden - 9/10

Perfect Celebrity- 8/10

Vanish into You - 6/10

Killah - 8/10 (love the way she says killah)

Zombieboy - 10/10 (this has to be a single!)

Love Drug - 6.5/10

How Bad Do You Want Me - 10/10

Don’t Call Tonight - 7/10

Shadow of a Man - 7.5/10

The Beast - 5/10

Blade of Grass - 5/10

Die with a Smile - 9/10

The first four tracks I think are the strongest she’s had on a studio album since BTW. I’m obsessed with how she says, Killahh.

Zombieboy has to be my standout, it’s the most catchy song she’s done in a long time and those stranger things vibed chimes at the end give me the chills. Has hit written all over it. HBDYWM gives me the feels though and GoE is equally brilliant. I love how there’s so many potential singles off this album, she could have a long era with this if she wanted too.

Gaga on Apple Music UK

05 Die With A Smile

07 Abracadabra

27 Garden of Eden

30 Vanish Into You

34 Perfect Celebrity

42 Disease

47 Zombieboy

48 Killah

52 LoveDrug

57 How Bad Do U Want Me

64 Shadow Of A Man

74 Don't Call Tonight

92 The Beast

121 Blade of Glass

I was really hoping she was going for the double this week Abra really needs to get a move on!!

I am absolutely obsessed with the album. I ADORE pretty much everything except for The Beast which I merely just like! There is so much to return to on the album - little nuances of production, lyrics and vibes. It is not an album to be heard once and discarded, it is a piece of music that transforms as you listen to it.
