June 21, 20241 yr So the first 0-0 of the tournament and a 'proper' 0-0 as well - fall asleep time. 4 points will barring a remarkable turn of events see these teams both through to the knockouts as at least best 3rd place with Poland now eliminated. Goes back to what I was saying the other day about competitions should be either 32 or 16 teams and top two going through; none of this 'best losers' crap. Shame the next World Cup will be marred by this best losers format as well.
June 21, 20241 yr Keeper was never getting that, was way past him, that's why he didn't dive. Yeh perhaps but keeper might think he was put off by him being there. Anyway, the second games seem a lot more cautious with the 3rd place teams qualifying. Teams with a win in the first games know a draw is enough! Just showing the replay here and yeh he wasn’t saving it tbf so probably should be a goal.
June 21, 20241 yr It was offside anyway. Yeah it was offside from a technical aspect, but he wasn't interferring with play. Keeper was never getting there in real-time, shock in the post match they're showing the freeze frames too. Even if the keeper was set up correctly with his footing he was never getting it. Can see why it was called off, but scandalous decsion, the keeper was never getting there whether the player was there or not.

June 25, 20241 yr If these results stay the same and France finish 2nd in the group, then Spain, France, Germany and Portugal will all be in the same side of the draw. :o And it would be the opposite side to England as long as we win the group
