1. Lose Yourself - a classic in every sense of the word, will never tire of listening to this [fave]

2. Stan (with Dido) - amazingly written track with haunting theme and brilliant sample usage

3. Without Me - love the energy in this one, super catchy chorus and numerous quotable lyrics

4. Just Lose It - always rated this as one of his best jokey songs, remember seeing the music video played loads at the time

5. Smack That (with Akon) - pretty good collaboration which I've grown to enjoy even more over time

6. Like Toy Soldiers - quite a niche sample usage and some very good bars although not one I return to often

7. Houdini - decent comeback track, have had it in my head a lot this week

8. The Real Slim Shady - always found this one overrated, not a huge fan of the production and the 'please stand up' parts are a bit annoying

9. The Monster (with Rihanna) - not a fan of this (nor LTWYT for that matter), the rousing chorus is ok but the rest is pretty nothingy

10. Godzilla (with Juice WRLD) - never liked this one, pretty clunky song with dumb lyrics about louis v carpets

11. River (with Ed Sheeran) - "beyond forgettable, don't like either of their collabs" - taken from my topic ranking Ed Sheeran's #1s last year [least fave]

Amended version of my chart show thread post:

Brilliant

1 Lose yourself

2 The real Slim Shady

3 Stan

Very good

4 Godzilla

5 Without me

Decent

6 Like toy soldiers

7 The monster

Not good

8 Houdini

9 Smack that

10 River

11 Just lose it

Love his first six number ones + 'The Monster'. Favourite was a toss up between 'Lose Yourself' and 'Stan' but the latter just edges it for me, it's nothing short of a lyrical masterpiece. I've always been a sucker for a song that tells a story and rarely does a song do so that well!

I don't dislike any of the others but voted 'River' as my least favourite, that's a bit of a throwaway song for me.

1. Lose Yourself - Won an Oscar, timelessish

2. Real Slim Shady - The original

3. Stan - Pretty good story and the creation of the ‘stan’ title

4. Without me - Super catchy

5. The Monster - yep

6. Just Lose it - Stupid song but I like it

7. Like Toy Soldiers -

8. Smack that - cool song

9. Houdini - First song to get two weeks at #1

10. River - Not for me

11. Godzilla - Hate his voice in this

9. Houdini - First song to get two weeks at #1

Oh wow I never realised this :o (or had forgotten about it) quite a crazy statistic, same as Oasis then with many only 1-week #1s.

11) Godzilla

Rap is a genre that normally I can’t stand, but Eminem is a genius. The only song here that I don’t like is ‘Godzilla’ - an era when I feel Eminem did not focus so much on melody or humour.

Both ‘Stan’ and ‘Lose Yourself’ are inspirational. I’m emotionally exhausted every single time I listen to ‘Stan’. ‘Lose Yourself’ is a song that everyone wants to rap along to and it only grows better with age.

I couldn’t decide whether to put the two melodic tracks: ‘Monster’ and ‘Like Toy Soldiers’ above the next two humorous tracks ‘Without Me’ and ‘The Real Slim Shady’.

I wonder where we would all put ‘My Name Is’ and ‘Love The Way You Lie’ if they had reached number 1?

1) Stan

2) Lose Yourself

3) Real Slim Shady

4) The Monster

5) Without Me

6) Just Lose it

7) Smack That

8) Like Toy Soldiers

9) Godzilla

10) Houdini

11) River

Fav is ‘Lose Yourself’ and least fav is ‘Just Lose It’!

Don’t actually mind ‘River’ unlike some on here!

His best tracks didn’t get to no1 though - ‘Superman’ and ‘Say What You Say’ are unreal, love the Dre production!

I've never heard 'River' and have no plans to change that, so I'll leave that one out.

1. Lose Yourself

2. Without Me (forgot how much I liked this until I heard it the other day, so I'll put it above 'Stan' for now)

3. Stan

4. The Real Slim Shady

5. The Monster

6. Like Toy Soldiers

7. Houdini

8. Godzilla

9. Smack That

10. Just Lose It (a horrendous racket)

I actually struggled below 5 as I didn't feel enthusiastically about any of the others.

1. Stan

2. Lose Yourself

3. Without Me

4. Real Slim Shady

5. The Monster

6. Just Lose It

7. Houdini

8. Like Toy Soldiers

Sounds like we need an Eminem singles rate!

Sounds like we need an Eminem singles rate!

Would be a good list to make, a big variety, probably everybody will have different lists entirely

Oh wow I never realised this :o (or had forgotten about it) quite a crazy statistic, same as Oasis then with many only 1-week #1s.

Houdini’s second week at number one is far from confirmed anyway, yes he’s midweek number one but Sabrina is likely to overtake by Friday

1- Lose Yourself

Without Me

The Real Slim Shady

Stan

Smack That

Godzilla

Houdini

The Monster

Like Toy Soldiers

River

11- Just Lose It

Sounds like we need an Eminem singles rate!
Would be good if we wait for like 2-3 months following the album release as we haven't known yet if there'll be any post-album singles.

I feel like my finger slipped when picking my favourite. Godzilla sounds better than I remember, but it’s his comedy rap that I personally love about Eminem although Stan and Lose Yourself are epic.

1. Without Me (one of the few rap songs I know nearly every line to)

2. Lose Yourself

3. Stan

4. Real Slim Shady

5. Smack That (It’s surprising this is his only feature credit No1).

6. Monster

7. Houdini

8. Godzilla

9. Just Lose It

10. Like Toy Soldiers

11. River (I can barely remember how this goes).

01 Lose Yourself

02 Godzilla (with Juice WRLD)

03 Without Me

04 Stan (with Dido)

05 Houdini

06 River (with Ed Sheeran)

07 The Real Slim Shady

08 Like Toy Soldiers

09 The Monster (with Rihanna)

10 Smack That (with Akon)

11 Just Lose It

For favourite, it's a toss-up between Without Me and Lose Yourself but opted for Without Me as the video is far better and all-round nostalgic.

For least, it has to be River. Most of the others are at least good.
