May 25May 25 The title race (if there even was one) was done in November/December. Relegation places were practically decided in February/March. The only truly interesting aspect of the top 5 battle was whether Nottingham Forest could make it there and in the end that didn't even happen. It's only Liverpool fans that will remember this Premier League season in years and decades to come once the recency bias has worn off.

May 25May 25 Every season has something memorable and unique about it. Doubt Man Utd will ever finish in the bottom half again so will probably be a quiz question in 50 years Edited May 25May 25 by Liam Sota

There's loads of good moments, just like any other seasons. Sure it's not had any real exciting final day drama.
May 25May 25 How did Forest blow it when they were predicted to be bottom 6 at the start of the season?
May 25May 25 1 hour ago, Liam Sota said:Well Forest completely blew it in the last 10 games. Really poor from them. Newcastle tried to blow it but Man Utd and VAR saved themForest's incompetence and that team from Croydon's luck cost Brighton a European place ☹️

If Forest take it seriously they will have a great shot of a long run in the competition. That being said, I think they will be disappointed, their league form in the first half was exceptional. Unfortunately the defensive fell apart and Wood's goals dried up. They will be disappointed they had it in their hands and let it slip.
May 26May 26 Arsenal have finished the league campaign without any players scoring 10 or more goals. First time that has happened in 100 years

Still outrageous to break the goal contributions record mind in a 38 game season! On 25/05/2025 at 22:32, Steve201 said:How did Forest blow it when they were predicted to be bottom 6 at the start of the season? You can still 'blow' something despite overperforming relative to expectations, they are mutually exclusive imo. As in say Leicester had lost their last 10 games of the 15/16 season it would have still been an impressive campaign overall but they would have undoubtedly 'blown' the title.20 hours ago, Liam Sota said:Arsenal have finished the league campaign without any players scoring 10 or more goals. And agree with you I tend to remember seasons over moments generally (or at least whenever a 'moment' is discussed I know exactly what season it's from). Also the moments are supposed to be the pay off to the drama that has been building over a season. For example Sergio Aguero's last minute goal against QPR in 2012 which is probably the most memorable moment in Premier League history, if Man City were 13 points clear with 5 matches to go and that happened it would only be City fans that would remember and talk about it to this day. It was the story of that 2011/12 season leading towards that match that made it what it was. Top two teams neck and neck for majority of the season, United at one point going 8 points clear with only a few matches to be played only to throw it away which included losing to City and then being separated only by goal difference heading into the last day.Leicester and West Brom being bottom of the table at Christmas to end up surviving. West Brom in 2005 were even bottom at the start of the final day and manged to stay up in the end. That kind of drama has been lacking this season.

May 28May 28 How many different English teams have won a major trophy this season then? I count at least six...
