I think by and large the England play has been kinda sh!te until the last game. So I guess the momentum will grow if they get through against the Netherlands.

 

The Group stage play by them (barring 20 minutes of their first game) was little to get excited about.

 

If we win, and the streaming numbers carry on dropping at the top, then it wouldn't surprise me if it managed to get to Number 1.

I'd expect it to get to #1 if England won the whole thing. I kind of roll my eyes whenever I hear it now......

If england win no matter how scabbed or flooky that songs getting hammered , the excitement might not be there at the moment but if they win every man and his dog will come out of the woodworks

but would the effect last 1 week? I cannot see the effect lasting more than 1 day tbh

The finals on Sunday if they make it past Wednesday the media hype Sunday and probably even Friday and Saturday will have the pre match streams ,

 

If they win Monday coverage will be unbearable easily into Tuesday Wednesday but Mondays streams alone could be astronomical if they win

Lana/Quavo are holding up well so far, so that should at least help to produce some freshness for the official chart this week

 

Oh wow Blood Orange :o I've really liked some of his stuff in the past but was not familiar with this specific song until now, I see it's from 2011. Interesting to see that getting some attention! That Ella Langely song swiftly follows up its Apple presence over the weekend with a Spotify placement then, country continues to thrive at the moment.

for some reason Three lions always does better on Amazon. Went to #1 actually after the last game and is still #31 now. Alesha must approve of it.

28 is quite high on Apple Music UK tbf, it's at #47 there. But yeah, it's a shame and quite strange that it's not doing anywhere near as well on Spotify UK!

I mean she has been 1 and 2 for almost a month. I have a theory too that England will help her beat ACR again. Given the game is in Wednesday and they estimate Thursday mostly based on Wednesday, streams will be down big as everyone watches the semi-final and that will count over two days meaning she will surely increase the following week.

 

Since the album is so far away, probably has another single to come before it releases

I adore that Blood Orange song - would be fab to see it make a chart appearance even if it's just low top 100!!
