How many streams will Three Lions need by Wednesday to make the top 10?

A million probably tbh

Not impossible if we win

I'm thinking more the latter

the song is only Atomic Kitten's 4th most popular of the moment on Spotify (behind the original and their two other UK #1s), despite it being peak football season

Does anyone actually remember the Southgate version of the Atomic Kitten song, or was it a novelty at the time?

Last 2 tournaments it was more popular, this one he getting slagged off a lot so probably won't do that well

the only good thing about having a few quiet weeks where streams consistently decrease is the inevitable influx of new songs we'll get at some point in the next month or so
Tobey is only a promo single I believe, I wouldn’t expect it to last longer than one week in the top 40 and it’ll likely get overtook by a few album tracks when that’s out next week

Everywhere I read says its single 2 and has a music video coming on Monday but of a weird release strategy if just a promo single

Think it's single #2 rather than just a promo single

Eminem is on it for all of 40 seconds I don’t know what you class it as but it’s barely an Eminem song and definitely won’t be lasting too long in the top 40/100. He’s clearly only really focused on selling the album

If we look at YouTube this is where not like us should have a big advantage this week

as expected no sign of Atomic Kitten...

looks like ‘Pink Lemonade’ will be our first new UK drill top 40 in a good while

funny how quickly it’s faded into relative obscurity as a genre in the UK, yet in most European countries drill is still a fixture at the top of every Spotify chart

'Band4Band' and 'Kehlani' count as UK drill for current top 40 hits, we also had the Pozer song about the area of the house that must not be named on Buzzjack earlier this year

the genre has definitely seen a big decline recently though

What would it take Three Lions to go to No.1 again? Probably a tournament win for England in the final? I can't see just getting to the final being enough, as it wasn't in 2021.

Astonishing that it got to No.1 on ACR back in 2018, but then getting to the semis in the World Cup was a major surprise at the time, England hadn't been that high for a long, long time. Now on the third run at least this deep out of four major tournaments, it's maybe more expected, so people aren't as in high spirits about it as back then. Also England felt really fresh, exciting and rejuvenated then, there's been a lot of scraping through games this time. But I'm pretty sure a win would seal the No.1 spot for the song again. Maybe the Atomic Kitten song would even come back if there was a victory for Southgate, and they could get Jenny back over again for another reunion.

------

As an aside, streaming numbers are starting to look more normal again at the top (although still clearly up on last year). But it does make me wonder if for the last 4-5 months we have partly just had an unusually strong period of several strong hits all out at the same time? It doesn't feel like anything huge is coming up on the outside to break the status quo currently and they are all in decline.

Sabrina was 615k today and this day in 2023 the #1 was Dave with 678,835

I'd love 'Three Lions' to return to #1 just for the fun of it, but I really can't see England winning the tournament. Stranger things have happened though so who knows?
The verses of that Ella Langley/Riley Green song really give me the ick. Almost J.J. Barrie-esque. The chorus is alright though.
