July 7, 20241 yr God what a depressingly dull list of songs. Cannot believe this is what 3/4 members of a group who released stuff like Touch, Sweet Melody, Move, Happiness etc are releasing. :( They didn't really write any of these songs (and most of their biggest/best-selling singles for that matter). The few with their credits were basically them changing a few words in the lyrics. Seems most of what they actually wrote (mainly Jade and Leigh) were album tracks. When people write your songs, you either wait until you get the right materials (and deal with the fans who keep bemoaning about them striking when the Iron is hot), or release what you have available (which may not be as good), or write your own songs (which may equally not be as good, and could take longer). In Little Mix, they had access the top producers and writers who worked with them to produce good materials, and some of these songs you mentioned spanned over several years, with four girls making the decision (2/3/4 heads better than one, etc) So really, if you look at it closely, it shouldn't be that surprising. I'm actually a bit impressed by what Leigh-Anne is coming up with, as you can tell she's been heavily involved in the writing of what she's released so far.
July 7, 20241 yr Forget About Us and My Love are the only two I care about, both are really solid. Don’t Say Love is ok, I don’t care for any of the others whatsoever. Excited for Jade still as she is my favourite member of the group.
July 7, 20241 yr 1 Forget About Us 2 My Love 3 Don't Say Love 4 Tears 5 Bad Thing 6 Stealin' Love 7 Boyz Not heard anything else of Leigh's, Stealin' Love was pretty boring. I don't like Boyz much, it's very messy and the entire narrative at the time only worsened my view of it. Bad Thing was better for Jesy, albeit not much to write home about. Forget About Us is the only one I love, and I can get into Leigh's first two singles but neither are hugely standout.
