First Katy, now Nelly trying to steal her thunder with a number-themed album!?

This is very good. Floodgate was an immediate favourite, but criminally short.

I haven't got into anything from Nelly since the Loos era, maybe her greatest hits in 2010.

 

Hopefully this is good.

Listened to this 3-4 times it’s a grower - Ready for Myself is the one so far followed by Save your Breath , All Comes back and Better than Ever. Only issue are song lengths they leave you wanting more .

Aldo I’m sure on some songs she sounds like Gabrielle !

I am loving this right now. Very much start to finish for me. It feels like Nelly has got her spark back and clear a lot of thought went into this, unlike the last album which felt very safe. Better Than Ever was a real gut punch moment for me.

 

 

This was a surprise, I was looking forward to it but it’s still so much better than I was expecting. Floodgate, Crown and Better for Worse are on repeat for me. I hope she can at least chart in the UK, The Ride failed to do so but I really don’t know what to expect for this one.

I’ve always been so proud of Nelly, especially coming from Canada. Woah, Nelly!, Folklore and Loose were all massive here. It was impossible not to hear Nelly on the radio from 2000-2007. I’ve been listening to a lot of her discography recently and “The Spirit Indestructible” and “The Ride” never had any notable highs for me.

 

This album on a few quick listens is a huge step up from her last two albums. I love all the collabs, for me so far Save Your Breath really stands out. However most of the Solo songs really stand out as well.

 

A few songs could be a bit longer absolutely. She should release Fantasy as a single around Halloween with an epic music video.

 

With what budget?! She is the original Katy Perry and she's over, thsnks to taking too long to bake pies!!!!

Just listening to this now, I’m up to Ready For Myself.

 

It’s a decent album and has made me realise how much I’ve missed her music. I’ve neglected her 2001-07 output for too long.

It's a really strong album, my favourite from Nelly in a long time.

 

Ready For Myself sounds like a Kylie song to me, she even vocally sounds like Kylie on it, it's brilliant. I love the run of All Comes Back, Save Your Breath and Ready For Myself.

Just heard "Honesty" and what a bop? Will listen to the rest of the album soon. Really enjoyed her collab with Tove Lo earlier this year which is on the album as well!

Gutted this isn't even looking to go top 100. Saw the signed CDs on their website are sold out and figured they would arrange enough to stock to at least make a minor dent in the chart. Must have been a really low quantity reserved for the UK.

 

Can't get enough of Ready For Myself right now. :wub:

Love Bites are my favorite for now. But didn't had much time to listen really carefully.
