So agree! I don’t know why they’re pushing it
My Oh My sounds perfectly fine lol. It has a video hence its on the advert. Should have added the Sia one too haha to p*** you off even more lol
I think with this album I'm expecting to enjoy it but accept it will possibly be her most generic album resulting in possibly short term enjoyment but it's kylie so I'm expecting to have at least 1 track of the new songs been the standout track with a good kylie stamp on it that I will love.
I'll never ever like that song, I'll probably skip straight to track 2 whenever I play the alb

If you stream it you'll have to skip track 11 of 13! 😅

Obviously it's impossible to say until the album is out, but I'm curious about which track list I will ultimately prefer listening to.

Vinyl/Cassette

A1. My Oh My (Kylie Minogue, Bebe Rexha & Tove Lo)

A2. Lights Camera Action

A3. Taboo

A4. Someone for Me

A5. Good as Gone

A6. Edge of Saturday Night (The Blessed Madonna & Kylie Minogue)

A7. Midnight Ride (Orville Peck, Kylie Minogue & Diplo)

B1. Kiss Bang Bang

B2. Diamonds

B3. Hello

B4. Dance to the Music

B5. Shoulda Left Ya

B6. Dance Alone (Sia & Kylie Minogue)

Midnight Ride following Edge of Saturday Night and being midway through the album already seems like it would sound disjointed!

CD/Download/Streaming

1. Lights Camera Action

2. Taboo

3. Someone for Me

4. Good as Gone

5. Kiss Bang Bang

6. Diamonds

7. Hello

8. Dance to the Music

9. Shoulda Left Ya

10. Edge of Saturday Night (The Blessed Madonna & Kylie Minogue)

11. My Oh My (Kylie Minogue, Bebe Rexha & Tove Lo)

12. Midnight Ride (Orville Peck, Kylie Minogue & Diplo)

13. Dance Alone (Sia & Kylie Minogue)

For the streaming track list, I think My Oh My should have been Track 10, given that it's the one collaboration that is actually Kylie as the main lead artist - not somebody else's single like the other three. I feel like it shouldn't be detached from the first 9 tracks. I see that the placement of the collaborations is most recent to least recent. It just seems funny that My Oh My went from being Track 1, to being thrown onto the end amongst the other collaborations.

More importantly.

3,4,5,6,7 in Kylies current most streamed songs on Spotify are all on Tension 2.

Of the 5 released already, Lights Camera Action should always have been the lead track for all versions.

Totally agree, MOM shouldn’t have been shunted down so much….I like it now despite the chorus being too high, but it should have been sifted in the amended track list higher up.

Midnight Ride and Dance Alone closing each side of the vinyl and cassette does make sense though maybe swapped round.

I'm not sure this has sold that many pre orders .....

We may need to do our bit on release week

What constitutes “that many”? It’s impossible for us to know how many preorders she’s done from her store, HMV and indies. Her formats went high up the Amazon chart.

In theory the presale link on her store will have attracted many sales. A lot of people don’t read the small print that you don’t have to buy anything to get a link.

Hmv she usually has all her formats near the top of their pre order chart

Even 2 weeks out its only the one vinyl near the top

Amazon it went to top but hasn't stuck around

Store yes will get plenty.

I am thinking something like 4-5k pre sales?

She has sold around 700 copies of cd/vinyl on Amazon

Tension II isn’t going to do anywhere near Tension or Disco numbers, less formats, less buzz, mixed fan reaction.

If they get 20-25K, they should be happy with that.

It's a huge red flag for me that the tracklist is in so different order in physical edition to streaming edition. Makes me think that the label considers No Oh No as the key track.

I’d say it’s more “considered” than “considers”. The vinyl & cassette had likely been manufactured before their plans changed. The CD having the same track list as download/streaming suggests to me that it’s now this updated track list that the label considers as *the* track list, but it was too late to do anything about the vinyl and cassette.

I really can’t see it being that low. Let’s just wait for Monday 21st because until then we just can’t tell what its preorders are like!
