Townsend just released more vinyl with signed prints so some extra sales

Weird that it's on Townsend not via her Kylie.com store.

Just noticed it’s UK only - not sure if they have better controls to combat people getting around the system on the Townsend website.

It's a solid album, definitely feels like a side project/extension to me more than a proper album, especially with those four collaborations tacked on at the end.

But there are some decent songs, I will definitely go back to Taboo and Someone For Me. Love the ATB vibes on the latter.

But Tension is a much stronger, more rounded and versatile listen for me overall.

Enjoying it so far, but it feels more Disco II than Tension II.

Haha I feel the same way!!

‘Good As Gone’ reminds me of Britney’s ‘Til It’s Gone’ :D
It’s gonna be very interesting to see the first sales update for Tension II, on first look it feels like there is less/buzz hype about this album, probably the least since Kiss Me Once, but on the other hand - we’ve no idea how the tour pre-sale bundles helped, just look at how much they helped Coldplay, so maybe that will make up for the shortfall in fan interest.

What tour pre-sale bundles????

They were just album pre orders nothing to do with your?

Either way I think we’re in for a shock, it’s either going to be really low sales compared to Kylie’s other BMG albums, or way more than we expected due to the tour ticket album bundles.

Guys.....

Apple Music Streaming albums

1 Sabrina Carpenter

2 Kylie Ann Minogue

Wow, all premium streams too. Those short songs are working

Went into hmv Oxford Street today. No one looking at Kylie vinyl or cds, then again no one looking at any thing

Good As Gone is easily the best of the new tracks. Someone For Me and Taboo are good too (the latter reminds me of Like A Drug). Shoulda Left Ya was a nice surprise.

The others are ok I guess but not standouts.

Overall, an average project, but I do think I prefer it to Tension I tbh.

Someone for Me slaps hard, shame it is probably going to be overlooked! Taboo stood out to me too, nothing else that much on the first listen, but I’ll obviously give it more goes.

The album was exactly what I expected; perfectly fine pop music, having a good time listening to it.

But it’s clear that it’s more of a bonus record to promote the tour and having fingers crossed for a hit.

Definitely one of her weaker releases, though some of these songs are great (Someone For Me!)

I found this stronger overall than Tension I on first listen. Good As Gone was my favourite, really catchy. Only thing that put me off is her vocals sound paper thing throughout most of it, and like they have some sort of vocoder over them or something?

I like Tension 2 more than Tension 1 to be honest

I am here for dance, dance, dance and hooks and beats

Good As Gone gives me goosebumps with the over the ear headphones.

Worldwide Album Charts

1. Tension 2 (Itunes)

8. Tension 2 (Apple Music)

Great to see Apple music support

Hello 9 (Sounds as good as PP!)

Dance To the Music 7 (A bit generic but I don't mind)

Edge of Saturday Night 5 (Bland)

My Oh My 5 (Not into this tiktok song)

Midnight Ride 6 (Generic, nothing special)

Dance Alone 3 (Diabolical)

Back to number 1 and 26 on Amazon Music current best selling CD/Vinyls

Tension 1 up up to 53th.

Come on Lovers we can do this.

Taboo 9 really really like this and so Abba sounding.

Diamonds 8 (Really feel this will be a grower)

Hello 5 (Im not sold on this just yet, after a few more listens i might love it or like it even less)

Dance To the Music 9 (I really like this, its like a mixture of her pwl sound with the sound of Disco)

Shoulda Left Ya 8 (Really like this one too)

Edge of Saturday Night 7

My Oh My 6

Midnight Ride 6

Dance Alone 6

I've listened to the album a couple of times so far (once early in the morning on release day, so I was quite tired, then in the car yesterday afternoon with a friend so it wasn't fully focused on). I did enjoy the album though! Short and sweet bops, very fun. I will have another listen with headphones on sometime later today and really focus on it.

Someone for Me and Kiss Bang Bang have the catchiest choruses for me, they're in my mind despite just 2 listens. I like Shoulda Left Ya's change of pace - it also put me in mind of Lost Without You like others have said - not identical by any means but certainly in that wheelhouse. I do find the 4 collabs to be quite detached from the first 9 tracks... so I'll definitely be interested to listen to the Vinyl track list version soon.

Good as Gone has actually probably gone top 10 in my all time kylie songs.

It's......that good.

Even Taboo has grown significantly since yesterday

Someone For Me is excellent

Also not sure why people can't just call this a full album. It's 13 songs. It's an album and is filled with great pop dance music

Headphones volume turned up is the way to listen

I agree the 4 collabs do feel detached from the rest of the album but I'm happy they are included as I like her collabs to have a home ad I find when songs are not on any of her albums they often get lost or forgotten about.

I'm going to have the album on replay later today on the stereo pumping out loud to see how it goes and see if my opinions change, I love the change of pace of shoulda Left Ya and i think I would have liked 1 or 2 more songs like this, I see a few people are in the mind of lost Without You with this song but I'm not feeling that as lost Without You was never a fave of mine.
