10/10 - she predicted it with the song on Tension

And, agree this one will be super front loaded, not expecting a huge amount more in sales (although my 3 x CD sey hasn’t dispatched yet), and I can’t see the download adding a lot more in sales.

She secured her 10th nbr 1 album 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
In the albums chart, Kylie Minogue is racing ahead with Tension II, her 17th studio album released last week. The record has racked up 28,779 sales so far this week, and is significantly boosted by its physical release, which makes up 26,247 units of that total sales figure. Downloads account for 1,582 units, whilst streams account for 950.

From Music Week

I’m surprised it took so long to get any info!
950 streams seems low but not shocking!

Spotify not playing ball at all, nor Amazon. I guess some data missing

The Downloads where not pre-loaded as it started at 8 on Friday so it has picked up some sales there.

I think we are probably looking at 33-34k total on Friday?

Its done really well seeing no discounts yet.

Very. In today's world, it would still be amazing. But for a 56yo with zero to minimal streaming and mainstream radio support, this is beyond amazing! She's now scored (well, assume it stays this way) the same amount of #1s in the last 6 yrs than she did the first 30 yrs of her career!

i think some streaming is missing.

i mean Charlie total is 4.1k combined and last week she did 17.6k on streaming alone so she is well down on that.

i am hopeful we will be on 30k+ if we get an update tomorrow.

Christmas HMV should do 2 for £10 on Tension 1 & 2

LCA by that wont be getting a new peak, if anything it could struggle to stay top 100 :(

Great to see Tension II secure for number 1, id like them to hold back now and dry and drive a few sales for next week.

Great sales, more than I expected. She has a really solid fanbase in the UK, I hope BMG have got some tricks up their sleeve for week 2 and 3 because that drop is going to be BAD.

Streaming sales are very low, but I don’t think Kylie is winning round any new fans with this era, as the reception to all the singles has been very mixed.

Decent numbers considering there’s fewer vinyl, cassette and no deluxe CD.

Also there’s far less anticipation because of the 4 collabs. Will look back at the first Tension midweek breakdown…I am hopeful that long term the streams of this will be better than Tension bar PP.

It’s good to not have to worry about getting the #1 anymore at least!

She is featured HMV Headliner of the week at HMV Oxford Street, not that anyone is buying CDs. I stood there for at least 45 minutes browsing and not a single person picked up any CD (Taylor, Sabrina, anyone).

Totally OT. but how is she doing in Australia?

Well next week it will drop like a stone and could potentially drop out T75. Most of those sales will be hard core fans.
