October 21, 2024Oct 21 What the hell was that with Ravi and Barney, I'm in bits  SAME!! My GOD.
October 21, 2024Oct 21 It's Sean O'Connor levels of ridiculousness. It really baffles me how easy it is to get on that overhead track for the Tube 💀 I appreciate Ravi is angry but to assume Barney is responsible for hurting Avani is a reach even for him (but Ravi is a murderer so maybe we need reminding of that side of him every now and then). I guess what I'll be looking forward to most is Teddy's inevitable severe comeback on Ravi. Edited October 21, 2024Oct 21 by lewistgreen
October 21, 2024Oct 21 As much as Ravi has a temper and has murdered before, he's a dad first and foremost and I just don't think he'd hold a child upside down from a railway track like that  I get he thinks he's protecting his daughter but even still, you'd think he'd at least fact check first :') I really liked the scene with him and Priya, they have so much natural chemistry, I'm really rooting for them
October 21, 2024Oct 21 There were actually so many good bits of this episode: Priya and Ravi in Walford East, both of them are really good characters when given the right material (plus Priya is just a queen generally). The scene in the cafe cracked me up when Priya said she sees more pictures of Dolly than she does her own kids  Linda/Alfie, Linda/Suki in The Vic (I've only just clocked Linda hasn't been seen in about 5 weeks until today) Kat/Tommy in the flat as Alfie walked in towards the end of the ep. I actually tense up every time Tommy goes near Kat Jack telling Penny about Harry's past (plus that reveal about Harry being a murder suspect!) I'm probably forgetting some others, but awkward ending aside, a really good start to the week Edited October 21, 2024Oct 21 by lewistgreen
October 21, 2024Oct 21 According to the spoilers, there’s a lot of Nish scenes coming up :drama:. I cannot stand this character, he should left the show last Christmas. Navin who plays him is a great actor but was miscasted for this role.
October 21, 2024Oct 21 Yeah, that end was very dramatic, but even for a dad with the shortest fuse to hang a terrified and awkward lad off a bridge by his feet in front of everyone is the biggest stretch. I think Penny is my new least favourite character whilst Rees is away. I'd rather watch ten repetitive scenes with Nish than one with her in it. Just so me me me and poor acting to boot. October 22, 2024Oct 22 Whatever Nish has isn’t terminal enough, does one single viewer give a f*** anymore 😭
October 22, 2024Oct 22 They've really dropped the ball with Nish as a villain character purely because they've made him a one track pony to the point of exhaustion. They either need to write him out at this point or give him something that's not just about Suki and Eve
October 22, 2024Oct 22 Agreed! So circular. Nesrly kills someone etc, then all ok, then neaely kills someone, and then all ok... Ridiculous character.
October 22, 2024Oct 22 One mercy we have is we know Nish is leaving. I just wish he was trapped in the call centre fire :kink:
October 22, 2024Oct 22 I usually watch EE in the evening, but for the first time ever today I watched it at lunchtime as wanted to know the fallout from Ravi and the lad he was dangling off the bridge (can't remember his name right now). The episode is really good. No spoilers, but the Kat/Alfie/Tommy thing really picks up speed!!!
October 23, 2024Oct 23 I watched tonight's episode early as I'm busy later and this week is so far proving to be a standout in recent times along with David's return week. There have been some WTF moments, Barney dangling off the bridge as mentioned - and Ravi not getting into trouble with the police so far, as Callum just took Barney's word for it while intimidated around others! But overall, I think the new Mitchells are coming into their own and I like Priya and Ravi, so I find that focus for the Panesars more interesting at the moment. I also think the Tommy storyline is effectively harrowing and having Kat/Alfie/Jean etc. as key players in a big story right now is most welcomed - haven't always been the biggest Alfie fan but Shane Richie can be great with more serious material. The moment in today's episode when Ernie's bruises were shown was chilling :(

This. The whole thing has me on edge. Tomorrow will be interesting with the consequences of Jean's phone call. Echoing the love for the new Mitchells, they've all come into their own after a very wtf introduction.
October 28, 2024Oct 28 I can definitely see things ramping up from here for Nish's exit Can it be this week tho?
October 28, 2024Oct 28 We can only dream. Sadly no mention of him or The Six next week but there does appear to be a fireworks "stunt" happening which may have been embargoed involving them all. From what I recall of pics in September the Minute Mart was boarded up so perhaps Nish is caught up in a fire at the shop resulting in his demise!
October 28, 2024Oct 28 I'm only assuming in what I said above. He could still go "naturally" but that doesn't feel very soap like for a character of his nature (he almost doesn't deserve that sort of exit)
