For the anniversary we can vote on whether Denise picks Ravi or Jack!

 

I want Ravi with Priya moreso but I just don’t want Denise and Jack anymore, I think she deserves a bit of fun and passion even if it’s not a long term thing that will work. Idk I just feel like she can do so much better than just settling for boring Jack just because she’s stepmum to his kids. Honestly though I think she is the kind of character that is more than strong enough to stand on her own which is why I really don’t see why she needs to just slot back in with Jack.

I think they just don't know what to do with Jack more than anything, I saw this on tiktok and voted Ravi but idk if that was the official poll or not I'll need to check :lol: If so, there was a clear majority in his favour there

 

Nugget saying all that stuff to Vinny when he's only known Nish for like 2 years? He knows f*** all, he needs to pipe down

Ravi and Denise have way more chemistry. But its not something I could see there being a long term future storyline wise.

 

But then Jack is just an awful character and it would be crap to saddle Denise with his miserable face.

 

There should be a 3rd option - she chooses to be single

Jack just seems to be nice to her until she is back in his bed and then they just fall into the boring married couple again. At least with Ravi she would get some fun and it would be good for her to be able to enjoy that relationship in full view.

 

Don't lumber Priya into a relationship just yet. She needs to be the single girl about the square not giving a damn for a while.

 

As for Nugget... He's gone from "But he is my Grandad" to "But he WAS my Grandad".

 

They all fell for Nish's power. Even when the guy turned up to ruin the wedding, Vinny was apparently overcome by one small utterance of praise.

As for today's episode, I was squirming when Nugget was practically emulating Nish's mannerisms and behaviour. Well done to Priya once again for dealing with that immediately

It’s hardly an amazing choice to get to make. Like Liam said, Denise doesn’t really need to be in a relationship. Going back to Jack would be a massive step backwards, he’s boring and treated her horribly. Ravi is the better option as we haven’t seen them have a proper relationship yet but even then it’s a tad boring. The prospect of the affair was what made it all exciting a couple of years ago and I’m pretty sure they’ll just end up a bit boring if they became a day to day couple.

 

Jack is only still around because of his longevity and the fact that they can see potential in Penny, Amy and Ricky. If they hadn’t killed Ronnie and Roxy, he might have felt more relevant. He hasn’t even mentioned his niece being in prison for some time.

Its not the best of choices and i cant see Ravi not winning the vote but i would say long term if him and Denise are together he will break her heart, i can see it been very short term.

How are you all voting for Denise's lover for the 40th anniversary? I'm voting Jack; she has a family with him. Ravi could get back with Chelsea and then he can have an affair with Denise next Christmas for drama.

Priya in the last two has come from no where to be the most potential for the show??? Absolutely outstanding writing and acting, legendary character in the works

 

Very excited for the 40th and a changeover of team, there is a lot of deadwood in characters atm. It's needing a major refresh and a lot of change in storylines and a lot of characters need to depart or change direction

 

Also a lot of poor actors atm

Priya could so easily be there with the likes of Stacey as a new legend for the show, I hope she gets the storylines she deserves throughout the show. So classic Eastenders but also brings such a freshness in a way no other character has in a long time.

I bet the original idea was a Atacey Martin and Ruby, but with Stacey's pregnakcy they moved ro Dwnisw. Denise's options aren't veey exciting tbh. A relarionship with no furure, or back ro Jack

The only other option was to pick who Harvey should be with - Kathy or Jean :lol:

 

Although both of them could be long term... i'd imagine Kathy would win by a landslide though as her and Harvey work so much better together than him with Jean.

Poor Nigel :( it was lovely that he was able to confide in our queen Yolande though.

Its crazy to she was axed back in the mid 00's and has only been back about a year and half! Feels like she has always been there. She is effortless and just the type of character the show needs. Her scene with Nigel tonight was great, also the scene with Suki in the run up to her wedding was really good too.

I do feel like Yolande is being used to fill Dots shoes with the religion, launderette, being the square's agony aunt etc.

 

Idk if I like Harvey and Kathy together like they kinda work but also I adore Jean and she deserves to be happy :( I want Stacey and Martin back together, Ruby adds f*** all - maybe she'll die at the anniversary and Roman will go to Martin full time.
