It’s a very interesting family dynamic that there is a desperation to be “normal”, it almost unsettling but also compelling that you are just waiting to see how it will all crash down. I would lowkey love a villain Vic landlady in Nicola, I don’t hate the Knights like everyone else though and it will be criminal to not have Linda there. I think the show accidentally had a For Sale sign by the Vic accidentally in a TikTok and then they just cut their losses and posted it properly to confirm it

Until janine comes back, Nicola will do nicely.I also like that they didn't punish her for her crimes. usuaully, soaps have double standards. They let men kill, be gangsters, and get away with anything; women ALWAYS have to pay for their crimes. It's like GoT; Sersei had to walk naked through the streets, to get audience symapthy and to be punished, but NONE of the murderous men EVER had to go through ANYTHING like that, and a lot of them didn't have to pay for what they did. Ever.I hope Nicola kills off more people, especially Zack.We just do not need Zack. He's atrocious as a character. I'm still loling at him thinking this teenager, who doesn't know him, would choose to go WITH HIM and upend his life. And that he thought it was a good idea to scream for him in the middle of the Square, in front of all of their neighbours! This is AFTER he said he was scared for his life AND scared for his daughter lol. He hadn't had ANYTHING to do with the boy, andhe is doing his bloody GCSEs! Leave him alone. Go live with Whitney and connect with your child! There is more to being a father than blood. Trying to kidnap Barney was just the height of hypocrisy, too.
May 30May 30 I don’t mind Zack and I do see why he would be interested in his own child given how Whitney moved away with Dolly after Peach as well, but like I said I just hate that they throw everything at him and none of it has really worked. think he would have been good with Lauren instead maybe and him and her could have had the blind child storyline, but I guess Lauren being part of the Beale chaos adds another layer to her addiction and struggling because of how awful Peter is! I don’t think Sharon disappearing to Australia helps, but that has affected Vicki too. Also Barney looks just like Teddy, excellent casting, and they just go back on that and throw Zack into it, but I think that saga just feeds even more into the family cracking and the desperation to keep it all together from Nicola, there wouldn’t be the same level of pressure and insanity there without that dimension.

May 31May 31 Michael, we have just watched the Six cover up a huge murder and get away with it. Even Bernie let them off the hook. Kathy even went for another go and still isn’t in prison. Stacey served less than six months for murder and is always let off the hook when she has an affair. The women get away with just as much as the men. Look at Nicola right now FFS.
May 31May 31 That, I can get behind.Although I hope the character has developed and matured a lot because I just watched their stint in Classic EE and they’re generally remembered for 2 iconic storylines and not a likeable personality.
May 31May 31 That return is great and I'm surprised in a good way,Great night for EastEnders at the soap awards aswell.

Dragged her body around the square and then buried her in the Cafe. Then covered it up and got away with it, with even Zack letting them off.I'm not sure it would have been accepted at all.In truth, I do think the writers didn't think through the long-term of that storyline and the initial wow moment became something sprawling that they barely knew what to do with. June 2Jun 2 Kat being high key camp is exactly what we needed to see.HATE @ Peter for the way he ranted at Lauren, ugh. Edited June 2Jun 2 by lewistgreen
June 4Jun 4 Peter has barely been in Louis’ life at all. Lauren gave birth to Louis in England in September 2015 when Peter was still in New Zealand. She was back in the UK by June 2016 and stayed until February 2018 and didn’t see Peter once until she went back to New Zealand. Peter then returned to Walford without Lauren or Louis in February 2020 and remained there until August 2022 I think and Peter returned before Lauren or Louis by at least 6 months. So Louis isn’t even ten and Peter has only been with him at most about 4-5 years of that whereas Lauren has been there for all of it.

June 4Jun 4 I just don’t know why Peter has ended up the way he has. You’d think after killing Lucy and Steven, they’d actually work hard on Peter but he’s now just the token child of Ian and Cindy despite being a personality vacuum.Jean just proving why Harvey is better off.
June 6Jun 6 Peter was always such a sweet boy but they're doing everything they can to villainise him to the point he's very unlikeable. I was rooting for him and Lauren when they first returned but she deserves someone softer and supportive who isn't going to treat her so poorlyCba with more of the Cindy, George, Elaine shite
