  • Look who reunited in real life this week! 😍 Apparently Shane Richie and Steve McFadden were there as well so a mini EE reunion in general.

Maybe autumn is Peter and Lauren's wedding which hopefully should mean a Tanya, Rainie and Cora return? (We don't care about Ava).

It's a shame because Peter was always meant to be the loveable boy next door type and they've just wrecked his character, I don't know if they're just trying to make him a mini Ian or what?? He does nothing but whine and blame Lauren for his own issues.

I don't think there's anyone I love Lauren with, she needs someone new probably

I’m not sure why Thomas Law doesn’t seem to be able to act anymore. He seemed a natural as a child. He always sounds constipated and it’s worse as Peter is so unlikeable now. I never used to be able to stand Lauren but he’s making it so easy to root for her.

I haven't seen him personally in anything since he left EE in 2010, not sure if anyone watched The Bay and saw him in that if he was just as bad? I know we won't be getting rid of him anytime soon though (shame)

It says it all that he has had a baby with Lauren, his mum come back from the dead and he’s got two secret siblings he didn’t know about, and still there is nothing to the character, nothing to enjoy or root for or look forward to seeing. It feels like they asked Lauren back only to build around the Beales as an extension to Peter but now they are rebuilding the Brannings she really needs to get away from him.

I definitely feel like we are either heading towards a slater owned pub. I really am enjoying kat this year especially past few months feels like they ate using her wisely

Perfect time to bring Janine back please xoxo

I’m not sure I’d be up for a Janine return right now. I love her but the last one was a mess and there’s even less reason for her to be around right now than there was back then. She has literally no family remaining on the Square and Billy is her only friend left. And he’s back with Honey now who would probably discourage that relationship.

Yes, we’d all love her to have camp confrontations with Kat/Sharon/Cindy/whoever but it needs to feel natural. Maybe a brief return upon her prison release to interact with Linda. But that’d be at most two episodes.

I think Janine lacks a solid "family" dynamic that she can always reliably slot back into, I guess that's what happens when everyone around her dies or hates her but she's such an interesting character, there's so much potential there with the relationships they could build with her, even if it meant bringing in other new characters. I feel like Janine and Stacey could have been great but then there was the whole Ryan thing. Stacey is a character that works with everyone though, forever my fave.

They ruined her xharacter and storyline last time, esp having her sent to jail for something there was no proof of.

You really need to let it go x

I really don't want Janine to return. I'm not keen on the character, have no idea why someone keeps returning to a place where no-one really likes her and I always can't wait for her to fall and be gone again.

On the Peter subject... Couldn't help but laugh at the women in the pub talking about Waiters in the Buff and Peter overhearing them mention all the young guys on the square... apart from him!!

I think janine is quite universally loved , and is one of the most popular characters the show has produced so unsure where you've got that from!

I assume you are talking about the viewers who love her, whereas I am referring to no-one in Albert Square liking her.

Would anyone welcome back the person who bumped off Mick?

So it looks like Ravi's new dealer mate "Okie" is around to stay for a while. First impressions left a lot to be desired but I wonder if a whole family might follow?

Just watching today’s ep and LOVING the newly recast character. (Not sure how to spoiler so won’t give name away lol)

Great casting, I’m wondering if he might be gay/bi too given some of the dialogue which would be a good story to tell for a younger legacy character growing up and makes up for the fact they just turfed out two characters who were LGBTQ+ rep without doing much with them. Obviously just speculation but it would make sense.

Also I find it hard to believe Julie wouldn’t go straight to Walford or reach out to someone she knows still lives there to see if Nigel was there? lol
