I am SHOOK at the end. Another well acted round from Max and Alice there. Max is playing a blinder in this story.

Alice Haig really is putting Vicki back on the map as an EE character. They were unwise to ignore the character after her lukewarm 2000s stint but they’re making up for it now.

They are really going in with this Joel stuff. It’s interesting to see it tackled because there are a lot of young boys like Joel in real life.

Totally agree that Alice Haig and Max Murray are continuing to play a blinder with this storyline! I'm glad the material has been handled well so far, that ending was chilling.

Thought this was a good episode for Oscar as well whose characterisation remains refreshing.

Also agreeing that the actor playing Joel is so good! Very convincing and very talented at playing what’s a tricky role at a young age really well. There’s tiny parts where I half feel sorry for him!

Still unsure on who his mam is! I’d never thought of Kelly Taylor but that could kinda be a gag and if they actually got Brooke Kinsella back too. I still have hunches it could actually be Zoe but with Zoe on screen again very soon we’ll soon see if that theory turns out right.

I do feel like there’s possibly a deeper reason why Tommy is being used and not say Ricky Jr for example for the story like Joels mam surely has to have a connection to Tommy / the slater’s for the screen time they’ve shared together.

He keeps saying to Tommy, Vicky ain't ma muvva! Watch Zoe appear behind them soon, any day now!!

I still think it might be heading towards Zoe being the mother. It’s one reason I can think of why they didn’t just recast Spencer and have Joel be his and Vicki’s son. There’s usually a reason.

But Spencer is gay, so it would have stretched credulity even more if it wss like that
