Callum is just a useless character, him and Ben had no chemistry, him and Johnny have even less. Plus he was so adamant to wait for Ben even when Ben said just move on, it’s only been done to cause a conflict for them I think. There’s no valid reason and no chemistry other than the fact they’re the only two gay characters left to shove together? It’s always showing new Johnny doesn’t work at all, when other than being in the Six storyline just because he’s a lawyer, the only times they’ve done anything with him is the two times they’ve completely randomly paired him with the only other two gay characters available who just happened to be in the show at the same time as him. Granted him and Callum are old friends but it’s also kind of feeding into the old stereotype that gay men can’t POSSIBLY just be friends, yawn.

Callum has been the least interesting character in the show for ages, he should've been axed by now 😭 he and Johnny don't have a single bit of chemistry

And Johnny and Felix was just as bad!! 0 chemistry all around. I'd hsve killed both Johnny AND Callum in thr pub

Johnny shouldn’t even have been brought back let alone recast for a 3rd actor. It’s like a completely new character each time and they have no idea what to do with him, Linda was fine without and if they had to bring any of her grown up kids back either of the other two makes more sense than Johnny, I know Maddy Hill doesn’t want to return. I’d rather they did nothing with him if he must be in the show than force him on us with this awful awful Callum rubbish that is purely a plot device anyway rather than anything for his own character.

It just doesn't make a lick of sense!! It'll give Ben something to do when he comed back and that's it. I can just see Callum's crap acting over it already... Whole storyline has been crap, down to Phil throttling Johnny because he saw him chatting to Callum.

I see Lauren has now acknowledged Jay's "exit" on screen and looks like I was right to call out it being "Bert falls ill". They'll obv have to address the fact that he won't be returning at some point again too.

I have really warmed to Julie recently. Having her away from Nigel and integrating with others has worked really well this week. The scenes between her and Joel today were ace. I can see some school scenes on the horizon, something we've not really had since the era of Bex, Louise etc. Even the current set of teens haven't really had any school scenes yet so now is the perfect opportunity to do this.

Tonight’s episode proved we really do have a very strong cast at the moment. Hard to even think of a weak link.

In Wednesday's episode when the boys went to the podcast in Birmingham did anyone notice the name of the arena?

Letherbridge Arena (Letherbridge being the fictional town in Doctors)

The calibre of talent on EE really is fantastic right now and it doesn't always feel recognised due to the show being a soap. So it was great that Steve McFadden finally got his moment at the NTAs recently. You have many reliable powerhouses and some fab newcomers this year as well, like Pierre Moullier and Max Murray.

The new era has felt a bit overly plot driven so far but yeah, the cast is stacked for sure.

Callum, Junior, several kids, Denise, Ravi, Jack...

Yeah I don’t actually think any of them are bad performers? I may not love every character but genuinely think the acting is up there. And picking out the kid actors, who does that?

Probably someone who just bitches about the show like a negative Nancy all the time.

Yea I agree that being a dull or dislikeable character isn't a reflection of the actor/actresses talent or abilities and also kids are kids what are you expecting?? None of them are even an issue 😂

Oh and I forgot the most EGREGIOUSLY bad actor of the lot - and no one can claim Jack is a goof actor lol - and that is ... ANTHONY TRUEMAN!!!!

With Sharon returning this week, do you think she’ll receive a fine for keeping Albie off school since April?
