Sounds like they’re setting up Stacey’s exit.

Quite refreshing that Max and Zoe were so honest about their pasts with each other rather than then either not asking or keeping secrets.

It does seem there isn’t much more mystery to the babies. They and their father are people we just don’t know yet. Also quite refreshing considering how everything usually seems to link back to Walford.

Was the ‘he’s alive’ line a reference to the creep in the flashback? Maybe she thinks he survived and shot her?

Soooo why did she leave the 5k there and not, um, take it back??

Tbf everyone sounds the same on the phone and if you're not expecting Max to be at the other end you're probably not going to think it's him right away

Well she did just think she killed someone - she probably wasn't really thinking

The line was fuzzy as well I think it’s fair she wouldn’t be able to tell that was Max, conveniently Stacey’s voice was clear as day for Max

Na could of understood it if they didnt have so much shared history of their own, like anyone I known for ages initially can tell or be questioning why the voice sounded familiar , and it was convenient her voice was distinct enough for him 😅

The line on Stacey’s end sound quite garbled-probably due the the phone being damaged. Though really, you’d expect it to be the same on Max’s end.

However, Max could half expect to hear Kat or Stacey-he knew who he was ringing. They had no reason to expect Max would be on the other end of the call.

Also when Kat mentioned bringing Zoe home from the hospital? Does that mean they’ve officially chucked out the retcon of Kat giving birth in a convent and to a son as well?

That was a terrible plot just to set up the failed Red Water. But big moments such as Charlie’s death are tied to it so I don’t know how to feel.

I can't say I'm surprised by that, they've done nothing with him in years really and with a few alleged controversies it was coming really

He has def been underused since Lola passed away and i thought he was great in that storyline, when given the work he is a good actor so in a way i feel its laziness on the scriptwriters side but the controversies have likely played its part in this aswell which is why im not shocked.

I mean, I’d say it was sad because he is a good actor but honestly can’t think of a classic Jay storyline despite him being there for 19 years.

Yeah, I'm definitely thinking something else went down outside of the original controversy.

A completely disposable character imo but through no fault of his own, they never really used him. I would assume something more went down as he was suspended for his comments already, to not come back and film an exit?!
