I literally only discovered yesterday that We Wanna Party is a cover of Aqua's Lene's debut album. What!? :o

Yes! Lene also wrote No Good Advice and You Freak Me Out in addition to We Wanna Party.

She also recorded and included her version of Here We Go in her solo album, which was also previously a single by Moonbaby in 2000.

It's mainly because of Xenomania being behind co-writing/production deck for all the above mentioned artists.

I do remember Here We Go, I mean, I forgot about that but when I saw Lene's album the other today I was like 'ofcourse!!". Did not know about No Good Advice, but makes sense as it's all in 2004-2004. I was more surprised they did a cover on OOC. It did always feel like a bit of a random song compared to the rest!

Did anyone see this? An online Girls Aloud quiz this coming Friday: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/popcuriousclub/450470/#. Sounds like fun!

I’m pretty sure it was a WWTNS reject track!

Yes, that would actually make a lot of sense now.

I never knew Lene wrote No Good Advice.

Does she still write songs for other artists now.

[Nah, at least until Covid she'd been touring with Aqua almost non-stop in the last few years, in Scandinavian countries, Australia and Canada (if I'm not wrong) - on their own but mainly at prides and big 90s tours]

I had the same reaction! The Masked Singer was really successful so it makes sense but it hadn't crossed my mind at all. I think I expected this the list to be filled with names like Ariana Grande or Lady Gaga but I suppose so many people follow those artists on social media and they're very accessible anyway even if you don't go looking.

Obviously the circumstances as to why Sarah is there aren't great, but this does suggest to me the girls are still held in high regard with the public.

I wish as many people had looked up her music on Spotify

Hopefully they will reunite soon and release songs which are a bit like 'Untouchable' and 'The Loving Kind' again, I love their later era of more mature synthpop.
Cheryl appeared as one of the guests on Jessie Ware's Table Manners Christmas special podcast and even sang a little Christmas song with Bear. It was the cutest thing ever.
