Nice if it could stay top 200 again this week.

I’m impressed that it’s shifted 170+ physicals - it’s available for £3ish on Amazon and Rarewaves which helps I guess.

Great to see this on track to shifting 1k again this week, the left the last couple of weeks is good to see.
I would welcome it keeping at this level of sales until the end of the year or beyond.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned here before, but there was a planned but ultimately cancelled Box Set version of Step Back in Time. Supposedly it was planned for release during Christmas 2019.

The images below is concept art from the designers, but there's also a photograph of 7 LPs which look like test pressings. It seems that the Box was set to include all of this in it: 12 Print Set, 7LP, 4CD, 2CD & Cassette.

I wouldn't even like to imagine what sort of price they'd have charged for this! :kink:

The above design shows 4CD & 2CD formats, with the 4CD having "ALL THE A SIDES" written on its cover, while the 2CD was "ALL THE B SIDES". The cassette says "KMIXTAPE" on it.

I'm curious about why they didn't end up going through with this release. Did they think that the 3CD version released in November 2019 was enough? I'm curious about what a 4CD track list for her singles would have looked like. Interesting to know that they were going to incorporate her B Sides into Step Back in Time too.

To be honest, I still think it's a shame that the vinyl variants they did release was just a 20 song selection. It would have been amazing to have a vinyl release with the entire track listing pressed. This Box format really looks like it would have been extremely definitive for her biggest fans.

Gosh so much info there,

i did think would they put out some sort of Hits package out for this year but i am guessing not.

We already have Tension and the Kylie 35 year Vinyl coming late November

Has Step Back in Time managed to hold a Top 200 position?

The week after it re-entered at #163, it fell to #196. It left the chart after that.

Makes me laugh how '2 Hearts' made the vinyl yet 'The Loco-motion' didn't!

Thanks for sharing! I do think we'll get a B-sides/rarities album at some point, Kylie seems keen on the idea every time it gets brought up.

For a while I was sure a b sides rarities release would happen but the longer it goes on the less confident I am of it happening.
Yeah, Kylie has mentioned a rarities set for years but it never happens. That boxset was likely cancelled because it would've cost too much to manufacture.

That package is a beauty

We’ve long been taunted with getting a ‘complete collection’ (which I’m sure is a licensing nightmare!). It would’ve been nice to get it as an additional SBIT add ok but it’s also they type of release that needs some care and attention and could be released at any time.

If a rarities/b sides was released do you think it would be 2 or 3 cd release.

Depends on what is included tbh. If it's a basic b-sides collection then a 2-CD set would suffice, but if it's a truly vault exploring collection then it could be a 6-CD boxset!
