Also further to my points the last few weeks about older songs getting autoplay and the algorithm changing on Spotify to switch them out.

 

On the weekly chart this week Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay went #56-OUT and Flowers #93-OUT as well as a number of other songs (I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Uptown Girl as two examples) that had been very stable suddenly disappearing.

 

Think it's pretty crazy that whatever playlist/autoplay causes this can put songs that aren't even in the top 200 well into the top 100 and even top 50.

I'd quite like Chase & Status to enter and peak at #5 just to keep their peculiar record of only peaking at #5 or #9 with their top ten hits (as lead artists).

Drake has a new EP out - a true test for his charting capabilities these days considering the competition is a bit lame in top ten atm.

What is trending songs (the replacement of hot songs) showing for you all on Apple Music? Me and my boyfriend have totally different songs showing.

Oh God, not another Drake this season. Can he wait for Autumn, at least?

 

It's Up sounds like a well-produced song, so it should easily be a hit next week.

But then when I click the Trending Songs link they get bumped down to 5, 6, 7, 8 with 1) Angel Of My Dreams 2) Active 3) BACKBONE 4) Guess. None of these appear on the home page as you'd expect...

Literally NO New Entries in the top 200??? Whaaaattt??

 

A load of Re-entries but I woulda assumed a couple of new entries in the lower half of the top 200. No Shawn Mendes or Katy is weird. Ik Katy has an uphill battle with how poorly ‘Woman’s World’ did, but I assumed this would still get to around 150 or something on debut… (with it falling out and potentially gaining in a few weeks)

 

Glad to see JADE making moves up with a Saturday update! With little to no playlist support I didn’t expect the S.A.D. Version to make an appeaeance. Hopefully word of mouth can get it in during the middle of the week.
