All the crappy fake reality Tv shows like Towie, Chelsea etc. Also Love Island, Married at first sight, Love is blind I cannot stand them. My husband watches them all and I find myself getting sucked in then hating myself afterwards. 🤣

In terms of highly rated shows I think Seinfeld was just not that funny, Miranda is another one which had a couple of chuckle moments but really wasn’t as funny as made out, Doctor Who is ok but way overrated.

With all this Miranda hate, seems like this thread IS a “shows we don’t like” after all!!

'Mrs. Brown's Boys' is easily the most overrated show ever for me.

I also don't understand the love for 'Gavin & Stacey' either. 'The Office UK' is also ridiculously overrated... (The US version though...)

Does anyone actually like Mrs Brown's Boys though? x (I know it gets huge ratings somehow, but I'm convincing myself we are better than this x)

I do have a soft spot for Miranda, it's not dated the best, but it was fun for what it was.

I think my ultimate answer is Gogglebox, I like people reacting to TV if they're actually funny or insightful (like Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe series), but irritating people reacting with shouting and braindead takes is not my idea of entertaining.

I worked at HMV for 5 years....

Yes. Yes they do

It got voted best comedy at the National Television Awards more than once! (Which is another reason why the British public cannot be trusted with anything)

Given how much everyone seems to slag of Big Bang Theory, I’d say that it’s far from overrated.

Maybe the thread should be renamed ‘shows I don’t like’.

It was in the top 3 most watched shows in the US for over half of its run, and received multiple award nominations and wins, so if that's not something that's 'rated', I don't know what is.

(not that I'd be saying The Big Bang Theory, I loved the show and bought the box-sets in the pre-streaming era, and Young Sheldon is great too)

I also don't understand the love for 'Gavin & Stacey' either.

I really enjoyed the initial run of Gavin & Stacey, but the last Christmas special didn't click for me and I'd rather they weren't doing another one.

For me, I'd say the endless amount of cop/crime shows that were huge in the US, things like CSI and NCIS that have received multiple spin-offs. How were there so many, did people not get tired?!
