I was thinking the other day how difficult it is for a ‘viral’ song to chart, CGYOOMH is all over TikTok, is on Kylie’s socials and a song she still performs and it’s had a massive boost but no chart activity (yet!).

I thought it might around the time of the documentary, but I wasn't banking on it.

651k CGYOOMH youtube views on 23rd June. Most ever!!!

Kworb reporting CGYOOMH has achieved over 1 million views on YouTube on the 20th July. Easily its highest ever.

Last month it managed its best ever monthly total 15.9 million, July on target to beat that too.

Over 1.2 million per day now on YouTube….looks as though an ad is driving up the numbers…be interesting to know what that costs vs the streaming revenue.

Streaming figures data was messed up few days back! Looks cleaner now but IMA is now ahead of tension and chiggy wiggy seems much higher! Wonder if it’s a blip or correction of data!

Head is on 999,518,977 streams, it will hit a billion once the update comes through tomorrow (it probably already has).

Head passes a billion streams on Spotify with 1,000,361,202

Its acceleration to a billion has been remarkable, even without the recent trend on insta etc. It’s finally receiving its flowers for being one of THE standout songs from the early 2000s.

Add in the impressive Spotify numbers from the extended version, Peggy Gou, Blue Monday and all the other various versions it’s already on 1.1 billion.

Total streams inc all streaming providers will be huge too. YouTube alone will be approaching another billion especially when combining the main video with the other official ones.

I hope all involved are receiving good royalties!
