Agree - it seemed to get a lot of love at the time but I see so many negative comments about the Golden album on SH.

It’s one of my favourite Kylie albums and I love ‘Dancing’ - especially as they pushed for a Too 40 for it too.

I love Dancing, initially i wasn't hugely won over but when i heard it live i got hooked.

I have noticed in the last year that there are more negative comments about Golden as an album which didnt seem to be the case when it was out, but i still like the album and there are some really great songs on it.

The country sound was fine at the time but in general dance pop/ EDM/ acoustic sounds suits Kylie more…or it’s where she’s most commercially successful.

Golden is an important album for her though, music industry took her more seriously again and it led to Glastonbury.

I still love the Golden album, for me it's held up better over time than Disco

I agree and it also went number 1 and had a great chart run.

The standout for me about the era was Kylie she just seemed totally revitalized and she believed in the material in all the performances which was something that totally lacked in the kiss me once era.

Great news and it’s actually been certified a lot quicker than I was expecting! I think the last update we had was 41,000 in November 2024. So 19,000 units in 58 weeks.

Glad it managed to make it to Silver without too long of a wait!

Thats great news, i thought it was a good bit off aswell, it must be pulling better streaming numbers than we thought but im happy with that.

Next step Gold as for me it deserves to make gold like all her recent albums prior to fully wrapped.

The 41,000 total mentioned, was its total after just 4 weeks on sale. Even though it dipped out of the main chart towards the end of November 2024, it likely added a few thousand more over the rest of that Q4 period. Presumably the album had a slight spike in streams during the UK leg of the tour.

19,000 in 58 weeks results in 328 sales a week on average, including the aforementioned Christmas 2024 sales and tour - which will make that average quite a bit higher than its weekly sales are likely to be now. 40k is quite a mountain to climb if it’s selling say 100ish units a week (who knows what the figure is, but I’d be surprised if it’s more than that). My guess is that we won’t need to start wondering if it’s coming close to Gold until the 2030s.

Unless three of the tracks have a mega streaming boost it won’t be going gold for a very long time. At least there are decent vinyl sales that will trickle in too. May buy the yellow one at some point.

Speaking of Gold, Kiss Me Once surely can't be that far away? If it was at 91,000 over 5 years ago.

Was hoping one of the other Kylie Christmas songs would achieve silver but sadly not. We’ve no idea if any are remotely close.

Santa Baby was close to a million but not seen any update so I’m thinking it’s not made it.

Anyway now T2 is silver let’s hope for a few more in the next few months.

We all need to stream it often and in full. In fact I’m going to stream it on Amazon Music on a loop till I go to bed ha ha.
