How big do we think the opening week for this album is going to be?

 

Is it over estimating it to think it could debut with 60k+, here in the UK?

 

They have such a surprisingly strong presence on streaming this era and that will only help them this week and it'll soften the blow of the 2nd week fall. I think this could be a decent runner in the top echelons of the charts tbh!

I'm going for around 40k, but also wouldn't be surprised if it's closer to 60k.

I was thinking 50k+ and potentially their best opening. The streaming numbers have been good and the fan reception to the music has generally been really positive. "The Emptiness Machine" has had a good chart run so far and will likely climb back into the top 20 next week with the album release. "Heavy Is the Crown" will likely have a good many weeks in the top 100 still with the album boost and likely back top 40. "Over Each Other" managed a 2nd week top 100 which was really good to see. I imagine it'll go top 40 unless a different track on the album takes off.

 

 

A few instant highlights beyond the songs we'd heard prior, 'Cut The Bridge' and 'Stained' sound great. Not so sure about 'Overflow' or 'IGYEIH', but it's early days and they also don't tend to have entirely perfect albums. I think it's a very good comeback at the start - great to see them doing so well on streaming.

The album had a really great debut on streaming services. "The Emptiness Machine" climbed top 10 on global spotify with various album tracks in the top 40. Speaking of "The Emptiness Machine", it's likely going to become one of their most streamed songs. It's had such great success in various countries - Germany is particluar where it's spent 10 weeks at #1 so far and the entire album debuted in the top 15 on spotify. It's already at ~270 million streams and will likely do 1 billion+ by the end of 2025.

 

 

 

 

Enjoying Two Faced pretty much! Good Things Go is a great closer too!

I just heard the album for the first time, way late I am aware, I know lol. However, on first listen I really enjoyed the two singles and I also really liked, Good Things Go, Cut The Bridge and Two Faced. Really strong album though, it feels elevated but also stays true to what Linkin Park are and what have always been!

A deluxe version of the album is expected to be out soon. Revealed by two reliable sources that "Up From the Bottom", their new single, will be out in two weeks, precisely March 27.

One of the reliable sources mentioned that the track has been brought forward to this week is still coming out next week.

'Up From The Bottom' in over 6 hours.

Definitely would like some new stuff. 'From Zero' was great but it was only over 30 minutes long.

Deluxe edition of the album, which has three more tracks ("Up From the Bottom", "Unshatter" and "Let You Fade"), plus five live versions of "The Emptiness Machine", "Heavy is the Crown", "Over Each Other", "Casualty" and "Two Faced", out May 16.

Quite liking this!

Really enjoy this. Have it stuck in my head after a couple listens - hopefully it'll do decently! It's on NMF which is a good sign although not on HHUK.

I quite like it! Looking forward to hearing "Let You Fade". I do wish the deluxe had a couple more new tracks though!
