Here is a top trivia question to think about this week.

When was the last time that 2 different acts had 3 songs in the top 10 at the same time - has it happened before ?

I guess Drake and 21 Savage don't count as those were the same songs?

Yes - they would not count as duet on the same songs.

Drake and Ed Sheeran in 2017 possibly (would have to check)

Edit: no as Drake only had two at once (a third peaked after one had dropped out)

The singles chart is such a mess right now - dull and predictable every week 😬

Official Charts Report

Sabrina Carpenter looks set to make it two weeks at the top with latest Short n’ Sweet single Taste.

The track leads the pack midweek, with former chart-toppers Please Please Please and Espresso expected to hold their Number 2 and 3 positions respectively. But there’s major competition from some headline-grabbing Britpop brothers…

Following the announcement of their Live ’25 reunion shows (and subsequent ticket frenzy), Oasis’s Live Forever looks to lift 15 to Number 4. It’d prove a brand-new best for the track, which peaked at Number 10 on its original 1994 release.

With a 30th anniversary release of its parent album Definitely Maybe released this week, could Oasis mania see Live Forever surge to the summit?

Two more Oasis classics are on the ascent midweek, too. Wonderwall (8) and Don’t Look Back In Anger (7) are both expected to lift nine and return to the Top 10.

Sonny Fodera, Jazzy and D.O.D’s infectious summer banger Somedays hopes to reach a new peak this week, set to lift one (13).

Finally, Teddy Swims could take break-up bop The Door to new highs, potentially up two to break into the Top 20 for the first time (20).

It’s basically the Spotify chart with a pinch of Apple and Amazon and anything else that counts.

I’m just bored of seeing the same music - Oasis aside - granted

I just hope that Live Forever gaining a new peak doesn’t result in it being the Oasis song that gets picked for Now 119 if they decide to include Oasis as it’s already had 2 appearances

To be fair, before streaming it was the iTunes chart basically.

Need to go back a good 25 years for much else - and even then it was the music tv/radio charts.
