May 16May 16 woulda had a better chance in Jan/Feb, kinda feels like they are building for next season with their form improving.
May 17May 17 Yeah it feels like City are gathering momentum now last week's result aside. I can't see Crystal Palace winning at all tbh.
May 17May 17 Author Crystal Palace (3-4-2-1) Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Wharton, Kamada, Mitchell; Sara, Eze; Mateta.Substitutes: Turner, Ward, Lerma, Nketiah, Clyne, Hughes, Esse, Chilwell, Devenny.Manchester City (possible 4-2-3-1) Ortega; Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol, O’Reilly; Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne; Savinho, Marmoush, Doku; Haaland.Substitutes: Ederson, Grealish, Gonzalez, Gundogan, Vitor Reis, Foden, Khusanov, Echeverri, Matheus Luiz.
May 17May 17 Never thought I'd see the day where Haaland isn't even confident enough to take a pen.Was a dive from Silva anyway so justice served...
May 17May 17 Author Well done Crystal Palace, an spirited dogged performance from them and what an performance from Dean Henderson.

May 17May 17 City are so sterile! Can see why they want a #10 in the summer. What a result for Palace! Probably helps they're a club that most people like!
May 17May 17 Both cups won by surprise teams then in 2025! Great to see for the sake of competitiveness. Palace played that brilliantly, even if Henderson was lucky to avoid a red! Could tell as soon as he stayed on and saved that pen their name was written on the trophy.
May 17May 17 Crazy how Man City were looking themselves again then Haaland came back from injury and suddenly they’re struggling against Southampton and losing to Palace. Palace were great the whole tournament though. Wharton has a great future
May 17May 17 Yeh Wharton was immense. If him and Rice can play together then England will be unreal.Echo what Pete said about having a new name on the trophy. Nice to see the big team not beat the smaller side in a final. Munoz-Sarr-Mateta-Eze are an awesome counter attack!Strong Culture club beating the crazy gang vibes from the game with the pen save and all.
May 17May 17 As a Brighton fan. I don't like seeing Palace win a match, let alone a trophy. OTOH, it's great to see Man C fail to win a trophy. On yet another hand, If City had won., that would have opened up another European place for Premier League positions which could help Brighton.
May 18May 18 Apparently it could still be possible for the 8th placed team in the Premier League to qualify for next season's Conference League. It would require Chelsea winning this season's Conference League and finishing 6th or 7th in the Premier League.
