Honestly I’m feeling this is like a very low televote again, if the clip is anything to go by. We really need to sending inoffensive radio pop that most people would like but few will love. That gets us into nobody’s point tallies.

Wow I’m surprised how good this is!! Very wtf, it’s like tinges of Bohemian Rhapsody, a musical finale, Sabrina Carpenter/Chappell Roan vibes and then a bit of The Last Dinner Party vibes I agree It’

I think the account that posted her clip is just a troll fake Eurovision news account. With Eurovision fans clamouring for any bit of info, it's an easy way to gain a few quick followers, then they just say 'ah my usually well-informed source was incorrect, sorry' to save face.
Is that definitely a teaser clip of the actual song?
Listened to a couple of their performances and their harmonies are tiiiiiiiight. Not sure they'd get a lot of public vote though - the song would have to be special

I had a few of their songs from last year on my playlist, they were decent but unremarkable, but the band sound like a reasonable choice (I don't think a big 'name' is the way to go, they almost always fail to live up to the high expectations). They definitely need a great, vote grabbing (or jury friendly) song though.

I just remembered we had a decent pop-country song in the 2016 national final by a female act called Darline, maybe a bit ahead of its time with the recent country trend. Lovely track but the vocals were really ropey at times sadly.

Further back, Six Chix sent a pop-country song in 2000 and it was the hot favourite to win (vocally strong, catchy, written by the guy from Katrina and The Waves) but Nicki French beat them.

The song even managed to chart in the UK, at No.72.

I reckon this would have come top ten for us in 2000, Europe would have liked this.

Interesting choice if it's them. I remembered them from The Voice in 2019.
Reveal dropping on the Scott Mills breakfast show on Radio 2 on Wednesday!
Obviously it all comes down to the choice of song but there's definitely an audience for melodic country-pop and they definitely seem capable of a strong vocal performance which could do well in a way that runs up a high score with juries and a middling public vote in that way that The Netherlands/Portugal seem to have worked out how to do successfully (think: Douwe Bob, OG3NE, S10, MARO, iolanda).
I did think of OG3NE whilst listening to some of their clips. If it is them it needs to be a good song, not just one that will score with the juries but nothing with the public
They’re kind of giving 4th place in a UK national selection that nobody would be particularly that fussed about but I will wait to see what they actually bring.

I think that's partly the worry, it's another act that the UK would never have actively voted for to send, so I doubt Europe will vote for an act like this either. The girlbands almost always finished 4th/5th in the national finals, even with great songs like It's You by The Revelations and Until Tomorrow by Darline.

But I'll reserve judgement until I hear the song, I'm a fan of pop/country and female groups, and they sound very talented vocally, so unless it's incredibly dull, no doubt I'll enjoy it.
