“Broken Strings” was released from James Morrison’s 2nd studio album “Songs For You, Truths For Me” in 2008. It was a slow burner and rose all the way to #2 in early 2009, making it his biggest hit as well as Nelly’s 7th Top 5. It was the 19th biggest seller of 2009 and came 3rd in the year end #19 survivor, so is finishing 1 place lower in the year end #96 contest.

4th: James Morrison & Nelly Furtado - Broken Strings 11/35 votes (31%)

Sorry for picking on them twice in separate polls, but moving to Destiny’s Child now. A strong track from them though - much better than “Girl”.

Awww at least James/Nelly finished top 4

Linkin Park/Jay Z to go (Emma vs DC would be one of my fave finals ever)

Broken Strings is such an absolute bore of a song. Heart FM really shoved that one downed everyone's throats.

Shame as I like most of both theirs discography.

'Numb/Encore' again although not really enthusiastic about this edition. Darkness was my fave here I think as well as two of the repeats which I do love a lot tbh.

Emma would be 4th so would be happy for that to win.

Numb/Encore again
Switching to Destiny's Child - good but not their best from that era. Jay-Z & Linkin Park have easily my favourite left.
