You might have seen new threads popping up on BuzzJack this week suggesting that we are due to receive some rather shocking collaborations on paper, including rock legends Bon Jovi with rapper Pitbull and BTS member V with the late Bing Crosby. What do you think when you see these prospects?

Can you think of other ridiculous partnerships from this century that really shouldn't have worked but did, or, that should never have seen the light of day?

You could probably name pretty much anyone alongside Jason Derulo these days, but I'm picking out Dido as someone you would never have named alongside him but it happened and the result was much to be expected.

Great shouts there Dobbo, very much on point.

Would this count as one of the earliest random collabs of the century from 2000?

I mean, given the legacy of Mariah Carey these days, to think she recorded with Westlife is a bit of a joke.

^That I never understood, cos Mariah was already a legend and Westlife were just starting. Guess label shennanigans.

A weird one has to be Ed Sheeran ft Cardi B, but guess Ed would do anything for a hit. We also had Ladbby ft Ed & Elton...

Daz Sampson and... Glen Campbell?

Can anyone ask the label to make it available outside the UK? I wanted to listen to it on Spotify so badly.

It's not even on Spotify UK, sadly!

I do have it on cassette single somewhere...

Maroon 5 with Cardi B, Wiz Khalifa, SZA or any other rapper. Just considering how they were generally.

Only just discovered and listened to this collab from these two. Sting solo career does lend itself to some odd collaborators!

and go on then Wardy I'll share this one too  was bizarre for sure but kinda worked in a meme kinda way!

Sting and Shaggy did a full album together, didn't they?

if you google bizarre collaborations, lots of articles seem to have Ed Sheeran & Eminem's River, also Ed & Beyonce-Perfect

Just stumbled across this one. Not a single but an album tracm nonetheless. Michael Bolton singing on a Kid Cudi track.

Daz Sampson and... Glen Campbell?

Daz Sampson well before that was in Bus Stop who collabed with Carl Douglas from 70s Kung Fu Fighting and then Bachman from 70s song You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet

Maybe not quite the weirdest but Mary J. Blige teaming up with U2 was also a bit unexpected but quite nice:
