Sunday was always gonna favour the Xmas songs over Kendrick so no suprises he's down

His highest song is now TV Off, which is going viral

The version recorded by the original Broadway cast 20 years before the movie adaptation.

 

Impressed that 'What Is This Feeling?' has cracked the top 50; I think the choreography lends itself well to TikTok virality.

Kendrick-Luther added to HH if that might help, rather low add though

The top end of the Apple chart is still volatile - Kendrick is now at #1, 2, 4 and 5 ('luther' at #1), Cynthia/Ariana back down to #3 and Gracie dropped to #6.

 

Presuming 'squabble up' and 'luther' are safe to be 2 of Kendrick's 3 charting songs and then it could go either way between 'wacced out murals' and 'tv off' for the third depending on how big of a gap there is (the latter is now ahead on both Spotify and Apple so should definitely chart next week if not this week).

 

The highest Kendrick track did only 308k on Spotify ('TV Off'). Really thought the album would've been bigger. Nothing from it will go top 5 on Friday it seems.

 

Well to be fair he has never had a top 5 hit from a studio album...! (his only top 5 hits are 3 features and 'All The Stars' from the Black Panther soundtrack). I think it's too soon to rule out something off this album making the top 5, for one thing 'squabble up' is #4 in the mids today.

Worth pointing out that most Christmas songs are back to being massively down compared to the equivalent day last year, after a brief improvement due to snow last week.
Kendrick now back to having the top 3 on Apple as 'tv off' has leapfrogged to #2.

'squabble up' now has a music video which will help it.

 

From first listen of the album, it was obvious that 'tv off' is going to be the big hit with the 'MUSTARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRD' line so I'm surprised the video wasn't made for that.
