Are we even sure she's releasing it? It seems odd she'd perform it and not put it out, I've got to assume she's got something else lined up as the next single.

Chappell Roan will have such a big year that the BuzzJack MGMT will have no choice but to have to give her her own artist forum, which is more that could be said for Sabrina Carpenter this year. :o
lol

I'm banking on the whole '20 years since her launch' being enough to give fans another album.

This should have happened already!! I swear Gaga got her AF during her debut era. :P

Mods are understandably more cautious now to just grant AFs based on recent success after the likes of Ava Max and Olivia Rodrigo flopped.

I feel it might be a big Q1-2 again next year, there’s already 2-3 big names dropping between February and March.

I suspect we’ll get releases from;

Beyoncé

Bruno mars

Chappel Roan

Ed Sheeran

Harry Styles

George Ezra

Lana Del Ray

Lady Gaga

Miley Cyrus

Noah Khan

Raye

Robbie Williams

Sam Fender

Sam Smith

Taylor Swift (and I mean TS12)

The 1975

The Weeknd

Other predictions/hopes

Harry Styles will have a huge album era

One Direction release a one off single

Ed Sheeran kicks off a new era of themed named albums but isn’t a big as he was.

Taylor will release TS12 in December (following reputation re-release) or in early 26

A well known artist who’s been around 10-20 years will score a surprise top 10/No.1 and have a successful comeback.

Lady Gaga smashes it and scores a multi-week No.1 with the second single (I can hope)

Adele drops a farewell single before her hiatus (very much a longshot).

Bruno Mars will likely have a big comeback solo album! Particularly with how well "APT." & "Die With A Smile" have both been doing (breaking streaming records left and right).

Miley is confirmed to have a new era next year. I think she could do really well. She has a song coming out in a couple weeks, "Beautiful That Way", which is for the film The Last Showgirl. It sounds like it could be a big winter hit from the snippet so interested to see how that does. The movie has had positive reviews so far, so expect it'll do well (looks to be a big breakout role for Pamela Anderson!).

That's fair. Though I didn't know Ava even had an AF. That must have gone in a flash!

There must also be people who are willing to do the housekeeping in the forums.

I did wonder about Miley but she's so hit and miss with her chart success. Tbf she did switch labels then had her biggest hit ever but then nothing else from the album really stuck (bar UTBY). I feel like she'll have a big hit but maybe not with the first single...

TS12 will come 2026

I think 2025 will be the year she finished the re-recordings

I’m eager to see what Bruno Mars has lined up; all signs seem to point to whatever he comes back with - solo - being huge.

What were the streaming records those songs broke?

'Die With A Smile' broke the record for the fastest song to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify. (And remember people here saying its first day was underwhelming etc. xx)

"Die With A Smile" is the fastest song to 1 billion streams on spotify, beating the record set by "Flowers". "APT." looks like it'll get to 1 billion in about the same time. Both songs have been occupying the top 2 back and forth on global spotify for over a month now. Don't think there's been any artist top 2 on global spotify for so long with 2 songs (Sabrina was top 2 for a couple weeks with "Espresso" & "Please Please Please" earlier this year). Also "APT." has been doing really well - 4th highest streaming week ever and 14th highest peak streams outside of Xmas. "Die With A Smile" is the song with the 10th most days at #1 on global spotify (may add more days to that).

Bruno is likely going to become the artist with most songs in the top 100 most streamed songs of all time as "Die With A Smile" & "APT." both look like they will clear 2 billion+ by the end of next year. He's currently tied for 1st with The Weeknd & Dua Lipa with 5 a piece.

great "worldwide" figures for sure but 1st day streams and first week streams were undeniably disappointing no matter what

sure it did well long term it's a song for the GP

Ellie Goulding is releasing in early 2025 a new era and I'm hoping that she gains some bigger traction than the last album - long shot but I'm still happy she is releasing. I think Gaga, Miley, Harry, Chappel will have big years. I think we will continue to see less UK artists and acts like Becky and Dua will continue to struggle to gain past momentum and Raye will remain a one hot wonder. Folk music will continue to grow and be popular

I actually think the country/folk sound will start to die down in 2025, to be replaced by something else (I just don't know what yet)

Would love a big acoustic / big pop ballad era 😍 this year started off so well for music but quickly deteriorated to one of the worst in the summer

I do think indie / guitars will return properly to the charts at some point. The early signs are there.

To throw some new names into the hat who aren’t on the tastemaker lists so far, I think Louis Dunford will have a high peaking album in February and I’d watch out for Victor Ray, I saw him last night and he is a star. Some of his songs have 25m streams so he clearly has an audience already.
