November 27, 2024Nov 27 Note to self: Please stop buying Kylie items until they're reduced!!! :kink: (I'll never learn!) Would be very nice if these reductions helped Tension II back into the chart :o Suppose it depends if this tempts some of the fans who passed on them up until now
November 27, 2024Nov 27 They will a least help sales get moving again but not if enough to see her return to the charts. It is annoying to ay full price and then see the reduced prices not long after.
November 27, 2024Nov 27 Yes but then the turquoise vinyl sold out quick so it’s not always worthwhile waiting. Anyway these are good reductions. Tension Orange and Coke Bottle surely low stock as well as all the cassettes.
November 27, 2024Nov 27 Author Note to self: Please stop buying Kylie items until they're reduced!!! :kink: (I'll never learn!) I always say I should wait but I get FOMO and also want to support week 1 and love receiving everything on release week.
November 27, 2024Nov 27 Im like that too with what i buy, i like to support her on week 1 plus i dont have the patience to wait but then i do sometimes wait and pick up editions i didnt buy on release week when they are going cheaper.
November 27, 2024Nov 27 Just bought loads inc the 7 inch singles that are available. Be nice to have them in my collection. Tension double cassette a steal £3.25. Don’t remember it being only £5 originally.
November 27, 2024Nov 27 Tension double cassette a steal £3.25. Don’t remember it being only £5 originally. It wasn't  It cost £12 when it was new - £17.50 with postage added :drama: :drama:

November 28, 2024Nov 28 Author I'm surprised the vinyl singles are not already sold out. I think they really went for it with the 7” vinyl after the demands from fans when PP took off - hopefully they will sell out at this price.
November 28, 2024Nov 28 What I meant re the Tension Double Cassette was I don’t recall seeing it already reduced to £5 from £12. Didn’t really want it but it’s so cheap now at £3.25! Yes I’m amazed Tension cassette/vinyl single still available, the other 2 recent singles less surprising. Already have the EFY release but surely they’ll sell out as there can’t be many left, unless they massively overproduced ha ha. Edited November 28, 2024Nov 28 by aeroco
November 28, 2024Nov 28 Author ^^ I think they massively overproduced EFY - it’s already been on sale for 50% off for most of the year and now they’ve reduced it again.
November 28, 2024Nov 28 I think they must have anticipated way more of a revived public interest in Kylie and Jason / Charlene and Scott, than ultimately ended up being the case. The Neighbours finale in terms of Kylie was kind of a damp squib. :( I looked back on my order and was a bit shocked to see that the cassette single was initially £9! :o Seemingly lessons were learned from that given that her subsequent cassettes (bar the Padam mixtape) have only been £2.99.
November 28, 2024Nov 28 Author So far the only thing that has sold out is the ASTM CD single - that’ll probably be enough to send it surging up the physical single charts
November 28, 2024Nov 28 How on earth were there any ASTM cd left after three years. So funny. Least they’ve cleared it now. Bet it was 5 copies. (Edit…still showing as available for me, it won’t leave the party ha ha) If they despatch this chart week we should see Kylie DOMINATING the physical singles chart ha ha. EFY, Astm, MOM, LCA and Tension gonna burn upwards. Yes, EFY cassette was always overpriced though it had that print too. Anyway it’s a steal now it’s been reduced another 35%. November 28, 2024Nov 28 First thing I thought when seeing all those "Limited Editions", vinyls and CD singles all slashed in price was... Hmm, they overestimated their market. Shame there aren't any Padam's left... I'd have gone for one of those!! At least the sale is a few months (or even years) after release. I have stopped buying CDs on release day after a little while ago finding that I was paying full-price on pre-order only to see reductions come in during release week to make No.1. Of course this isn't something that happens with Kylie releases, but other acts have done it and it does smart a bit when you paid more only three or four days before.
November 28, 2024Nov 28 Author Glad they’ve sent out a mail out to the Kylie database for the reductions today - should hopefully pull in some decent sales as fans complete their collections. Also I hope they start shipping the orders from Friday so that T & T2 can try and benefit from a chart prospective
November 28, 2024Nov 28 I think the items that stings the most for me is the Tension II "Limited Edition" CDs. Ordered them on 10th October, it was £40 for the 3, and I rushed to buy due to the fear of them selling out quickly. Yet now, a mere 7 weeks later, you can get the three of them for £23.40. :kink:

I can’t complain about the limited CDs too much as I got 3 x signed prints with mine so am taking the extra cost as covering those
