Ah maybe Kworb is wrong then. Mariah is most likely still #2 combined imo, although she is having a bad year this year. Going behind Wham! on Spotify Worldwide is huge even if she’s back ahead now

Something weird clearly happened between the Saturday and Sunday last year to Jingle Bell Rock as it suddenly dropped big time. Insane playlist effect on display once again. Overall streams are clearly up year on year for non-Christmas songs as well.

Amazon Christmas Update (Top 200)

Thanks for the update.

Is Cher's DJ not Top 100 on Amazon? I was under the impression it was (I can't access their chart).

It's outside the top 200 at 341 currently. Songs can Yo-Yo quite a lot on the chart.

Amazon Christmas Update (Top 200)

Slade top 10 but Wizzard only #22 on the Amazon chart was a surprise for me!

Edited by TheSnake

they did well to hold out for so long against the rising tide of Americanisation but perhaps you're right and they'll eventually just stop making the top 10 every year

Andy Williams of all people overtaking them on Apple is crazy

That's the Onthebeach.com advert effect! I don't mind Andy Williams or any of the crooners Christmas songs, its some of the only 1950s/early 60s music that gets remembered by many.

with Spotify only, Wham would be #2 and wouldn't even be close

it's just #1 in the mids cos of Alexa/Amazon

Seems pretty low for the Christmas songs considering it's already the 10th of December.

Wham is only 15k down compared to last year

What a weird thing to say when it's also #1 on Apple Music & YouTube

In Dec, the chart is determined by Amazon and Spotify, Apple means very little in Dec, and YT means nothing.

Amazon also usually reports a day ahead of the others too, so has more days of data in the mids. However I don't think Gracie will overturn the gap to Wham! this week in any case.
Wow didn't realise Lola Young had got so high among non-Christmas songs. Definitely going to be a big hit in the new year it seems.
