I estimated 22k for “Beautiful Things” last week so with 21,944 this week it must have been close to avoiding again. We should all make an offering to the chart gods. 🙏

Fingers crossed Nice To Meet You has actually hit ACR this time. Will be interesting to see which Oasis songs benefit from the current tracks going to ACR!

If Don’t Look Back In Anger and Live Forever are indeed going to ACR, then next weeks 3 Oasis songs will be Wonderwall, Acquiesce and Slide Away unless Acquiesce is also going to ACR which I hope it ain’t. I’d love to see Champagne Supernova enter the top 40 for the first time

'Wonderwall' is already back on ACR per the Music Week report. 'Acquiesce' almost certainly went last week too.

It's possible 'Slide Away' was already on two declines before it appeared this week, so it could drop straight out again. We also don't know if 'Champagne Supernova' or any other Oasis songs have been in decline, so could go back to ACR before they've had a chance.

I was also a bit iffy about whether “Don’t Look Back In Anger” declined by more than the market last week. It definitely did this week.

DCL-3

Calvin Harris and Clementine Douglas ~ Blessings

Levi Heron ~ The Glen

Lola Young ~ One Thing

Morgan Seatree ~ Say My Name (feat. Florence + The Machine)

Morgan Wallen ~ What I Want (feat. Tate McRae)

Myles Smith ~ Nice To Meet You

Oasis ~ Don't Look Back In Anger

Oasis ~ Live Forever

Sabrina Carpenter ~ Manchild

Skye Newman ~ Family Matters

Good call on most of these, seems Don't Look Back in Anger and What I Want are the only two to have swerved! Definitely a good clearout.

Seems like lots of Oasis songs must have gone to ACR, as Wonderwall at #62 on ACR is their third highest song (leaving Cigarettes & Alcohol to be their 2nd highest song).

Seems “What I Want” just swerved last week so I’ve put that in SCR. I already suspected “Don’t Look Back In Anger” swerved the week before so I’ve moved it to DCL1.

'Nice To Meet You' finally gone this time!

'Slide Away' must have been on DCL-3 - it's now starred out behind 'Wonderwall' on ACR. 'Cigarettes & Alcohol' (although not in Friday's chart) I think is at the same status as 'Don't Look Back In Anger' i.e. DCL-1 as of Friday. Any other Oasis songs look to have missed their chance of Top 40 (either back on ACR or far too low), so 'Champagne Supernova' will have to wait for the next tour!

Usual caveats

Coldplay ~ Sparks

Lewis Capaldi ~ Survive

Made a couple of changes - think on balance “Cigarettes & Alcohol” and “Dior” may well have avoided a decline this week.

A shame, it would have been nice seeing everyone cry over BT avoiding ACR again.
