Always backtracking and making excuses. We need a PM who cares about both the climate crisis and marginalisation. He is neither of those.

I'd never actually watched the video because I read everything I saw and I've seen pictures and it's absolutely heinous and I've never heard Nigel farage as comfortable as this before. He actually sounded like Vernon Dudley from harry potter when he was talking.

I absolutely loathe this man. On the plus side, everything he and his party have done in the last week have harmed his party. There are also plenty of reform supporters that don't condone this sort of behaviour i assume, so that will damage the brand even further. I also feel for that poor lady.

Everyone in the UK has a right to free speech. She was using her right and got attacked. I see on Facebook quite a lot just now that she went to cause trouble so she faces the consequences yet there was clicked traffic for four miles at dover the other day. That caused way more disruption that she did. Didn't see anyone running over those protesters or harming them though, did we?

It says AI generated because I removed a banner that said something like this is fascist Britain or something like that but look at the absolute glee on the faces of those behind the guy that hit that woman with the walking stick. It shocks me 10000%. Always taught to respect our elders and I do but these are the poor afraid pensioners that Nigel wants to protect. They don't look very scared to me. They look ravenous for any sort of drama that disagrees with what they think of Nigel and reform. Astounding.

You know what? It actually doesn't shock me. The last 10 years or so has shown me that there's no limits as to how low people will go.

I also don't believe this will actually affect Reform at all. Their voter base are the types to not have any issue with this sort of thing.

I wish I could just cast a spell and permanently alter their brains into realising the harm that they are causing. They're just causing more and more division.

As for respecting your elders, I have zero respect for stupid people. I wish leftwingers would stop trying to save everybody. Those people in the picture would learn quicker if they actually had to suffer the consequences of their actions, and I mean suffer in every sense of the word.

Anyone who campaigned for benefits to be taken away for example I'd be happy for it to happen to them first as a test case and we'd see how they like it. Put your money (or lack thereof) where your mouth is.

I fully agree. I'm not saying I respect them, I just meant in general.

My broader problem with people on the left is that they're more bothered about infighting and making sure everyone is absolutely perfect, while the right can congregate simply based on a hatred of migrants (or whatever).

We can't tear someone to shreds cos they're not progressive enough and then act surprised at Reform gaining popularity.

While I appreciate that this is sometimes the case, right now, Reform are falling behind the Tories in the polls, are currently weathering a bevy of bad headlines that they'd rather not have given their recent conference, and they are dealing with the much worse dregs of Restore absorbing the true racists.

Meanwhile much of the UK centre and left is currently pretty calm and awaiting Burnham's next moves.

The corruption and donor story does have more cut through than previous Reform scandals.

Yes and no Iz. Plenty of the left is also chomping at the bit to destroy Burnham for not being perfect or magical enough from day 1 or for having to operate within the constraints of his position and the law of the country...

I can only comment as myself of course but as a floating voter I feel like a lot of political commenters online (on twitter, in the media) don't seem to live in the real world or understand/address the undercurrents that inform how XYZ political figure is behaving.

Reform have received two £36 million donations from crypto millionaires in the space of two days - each the largest sum any political party has received from a single donation since they began declaring in 2001.

Completely and utterly legit (especially coming from a crypto firm) of course and not something akin to what they are being investigated for, a party for the working people for sure x

Donations of 36m from 2 people screams party of the people and not corrupt party for the rich at all
