Sabrina Carpenter has made the transition from teen-TV star to pop-dominating force look remarkably easy. It helps that the actor and singer-songwriter—born in 1999 in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania—pursued both sides of her career in tandem, releasing music while establishing a regular presence on the Disney Channel and through other acting gigs, including on Broadway. Teddy Swims’ soaring, sonorous howls defy both gravity and genre. Benson Boone (born in 2002 in Monroe, WA) bet on himself and hit big in the early 2020s. After leaving Brigham Young University to pursue his music career, the singer-songwriter tried out for American Idol, but he left the competition after making it past the talent show’s auditions. How many time has the charts been cancelled that hasn't been due to death of a royal or Radio 1's Big Weekend/Glastonbury?

Is terrestrial radio still the way forward though? It seems like a 21st century move would be to have the chart show hosted on a streaming platforms via a live podcast, or even via YouTube?

It would still be accessible to millions of listeners who want to seek out such a weekly show rather than the casual listener.

We should all do a mass text-in telling them to read out the chart! They clearly have the list, even if they won't play the songs they should still mention numbers throughout.
