Quite honestly I see the terms Gen Z, Millennial and Boomer used pretty regularly so I don't agree with this! I've seen them used across my social media feeds as well as in news headlines (less so for "Boomer" which is used more as an insult tearsmile), so I think they're pretty well known and utilised.

Boomer and gen z maybe but Gen alpha that's a rare one

I think the point here is that the same 4 posters come in every time Ed Sheeran has a new release and say the same opinions and it’s tedious for those that aren’t biased in their opinions about him an

There will be 16 tracks in total. The last three are 'physical exclusives' depending of the edition someone buys.

  1. "Opening"

  2. "Sapphire"

  3. "Azizam"

  4. "Old Phone"

  5. "Symmetry"

  6. "Camera"

  7. "In Other Words"

  8. "A Little More"

  9. "Slowly"

  10. "Don’t Look Down"

  11. "The Vow"

  12. "For Always"

  13. "Heaven"

  14. "Problems" (Deluxe CD and Deluxe LP Only)

  15. "War Game" (Deluxe CD and Deluxe LP Only)

  16. "Regrets" (Deluxe LP Only)

‘Sapphire’ from the clips I’ve heard sounds like the massive hit. Quite surprised didn’t go with it as the lead.

That could always be the song he releases just before the album.

3 dates announced at Portman Road (Ipswich Town Football Club's stadium) 11/12/13th July, coming back to my town!

Not exactly surprising, given he owns a stake in the club. I'm away that weekend so won't be going either way!

Interesting that Sapphire and Azizam have been his most commercially successful singles of this era, when even he felt they were the riskiest things to put out. I guess Old Phone and A Little More pleased old-time fans of Ed but didn't punch through in the way that those two did.

Certainly for me anyway, they didn't. They're not bad by any means, but I didn't get excited by them.

I'm interested to see what his sales will be actually. If Coldplay could get over 200,000 in their opening week, surely he can? I know that would beat his opening tallies in 2023 and 2021 but Coldplay managed to beat some of their previous opening tallies too.

Coldplay were boosted massively I’d say with the fact that the pre ordering came with presale codes for their Wembley shows!

I think he’ll do around 80-90k personally for week one!

But I wouldn’t be completely shocked if he did similar numbers to Sam Fender and he broke 100k.

I think there could be more formats to come and some promo lined up too. I’d say there’s a lot more hype for this album too (maybe on the level of the = album?).
