Because it wasn't released as a single in the UK

Two amazing tracks! I didn’t realise that Charlemagne never charted higher! I like surprised but delighted that Pocketful of Sunshine has gone platinum. Am I right in thinking it was never released as a single in the UK?

Edit: Someone has beaten me to asking that question! It was such a travesty that it was never released here. Its success is proof that it should have been, but Natasha‘s career was unfairly cut short I think.

tbf i never asked if it was a single in the uk or not, i just was shocked it hadn’t charted

I was so annoyed at the time when it didn't get a UK release, I still maintain they totally screwed themselves out of an easy top 5 hit.

At least it's made up for it in a way now. It's one I always see people use on Instagram stories if they're on holiday or something, so I guess it's spread popularity that way as I'm pretty sure it's not long ago it got certified gold.

It’s easily her second biggest song on Spotify. Way ahead of These Words - even combining the original with the Badger version.

Frank Ocean - Lost - 3x Platinum - peak #44

Cafuné - Tek It - Platinum - peak #72

Fontaines D.C. - Starburster - Platinum - peak #57

Gigi D'Agostino - L'Amour Toujours - Platinum - did not chart

"Lost" becomes the 30th song to not chart in the top 40 to be certified 3x Platinum or higher.

Lost not going top 40 is absolute nonsense. No way it shouldn’t have been reset from ACR

'Tek It' did chart, it got to #72.

(Think you would like it Jim - not heard it for a while but I still remember it quite well after being reminded of its existence, it's a nice dreamy indie jam x)

'Lost' really just got screwed over by the timing, the OCC pretended the reset rules were always the same post Kate Bush but they blatantly weren't.

@gasman449 I've just noticed that you didn't change the date on the most recent certification for '505' by Arctic Monkeys. Certification date is 20/03/2026.

@gasman449

Billie Eilish & Khalid - lovely - 4x Platinum - peak #47 (We now officially have the top 10 biggest songs to peak outside the top 40)

This could've been a massive UK hit back in 2000/2001, probably a potential number 1
