About time Janet had a viral hit! Really hope this blows up more (and brings some more of her catalogue with it). Sad Someone To Call My Lover isn't even certified silver yet here, despite being a respectable hit at the time.

To be fair though it had a chart run of 11-22-35-43-60 in 2001, I imagine it probably didn't even sell 50k that year. Hopefully it can get it now!

Great to see Miley re-enter quite high - makes me think she was just outside the top 200 the last couple days. She reaches a new peak of #36 on Apple.

Glad to see Janet top 200 in the UK! I wonder if she'll be able to chart in the top 100 again (she's up to a new peak of #151 on US now too!). She should get an automatic reset I believe if she improves/climbs more as the week goes on. She's now appearing on Amazon at #148! She's been added to a couple playlists on Amazon including Viral Hits.

Snake for top 40? I mean it’s too early to tell surely

The streams are almost certainly fake

wow was checking and there are millions of tiktoks x Janet-Someone to call my lover <3

funnily they use the pre-chorus, the bit that goes:

Maybe we'll meet at a bar
He'll drive a funky car
Maybe we'll meet at a club
And fall so deeply in love

Spotify new entries:

ne #51 Davido - Be There Still (hm, this came out a few weeks ago...)

ne #176 Calvin Harris - Outside (feat. Ellie Goulding)

Ed Sheeran has climbed to #12 today.

Spotify’s updated and Ed’s Azizam is shooting back up the charts (up to #12 in the UK).

Ed's gonna end up at number one isn't he...

Sleep Token down to 25. Please stay stable tomorrow! Role Model- Sally... also re-enters at a new peak of 160

Quick recovery for the legacy act 😆

Nothing anymore should be written off on day one or two, or even week one or two. There is a new status quo going on in terms of how long it takes people to adapt to the majority of new releases imo.

Look at Ordinary even, it had enough momentum to debut in the top ten but then promptly fell back out the next week, only to then rebound and become the biggest hit of the year so far a few weeks later (once it went viral). Give new stuff time to find its feet, things have changed and things don't go viral on day one or two anymore apart from a blockbuster anticipated album from a superstar maybe.

And most importantly, don't ever write off Ed Sheeran.

or Drake :D

Nice to see the 2 Sombr songs reaching new peaks and both top 30

too bad Janet has dropped though :/

and that Davido song in at #50-ish is kinda suspicious, it's not even released yesterday

I see the Derulo thing is now in the top 50, is it charting anywhere else, could the streams be genuine?

both Derulo and Davido looks like bots to me

nobody charts out of the blue in the middle of the week and gets 200,000 streams

You all need to remember that 'Die With a Smile' entered low 20's at the start on Spotify, and it wasn't until a good few days in it started to rise, and people were saying it was flopping in the first few days it was out, and then ended up being one of the biggest hits of the year.

As soon as I heard the new Ed one, I thought it definitely sounded like a hit, we have to give songs time sometimes. I think the more people hear it, the better it will do.

People getting a little carried away with Ed. It’s good he’s risen 5 places but it was only possible because he was down at 17th. He’s still basically doing 1/3 the streams of ordinary. If it’s a slow grower then #1 when the physicals are released is definitely still possible
